Qmine's proprietary 3D printed model is a unique visual tool used by developers to present their projects to stakeholders at any stage of the project's life, from early exploration to reclamation. High resolution physical models use powerful data processing to condense many technical facets into realistic minia- ture displays and mine site simulations. These models feature high definition colour presentation (up to 720 dpi), durable materials and include a light-weight portfolio package for ease of transportation. These models are used for public meetings and at exhibition venues to provide an instant overview and further details of an entire project. The company states using the Qmine 3D model, presenters are in a better position to engage viewers in more efficient and productive discussions." BGC Engineering has developed the Ada Platform™ (Ada), a functional software platform that enables viewers to understand applied earth science as 3D holographic models which can be viewed from any angle and at any point in time. Stakeholders can view engineering plans, sub-surface areas and improve their understanding of the future by taking a virtual tour of a project. Ada helps stakeholders understand how man-made geology influences landscape and groundwater conditions and provides experts a new way to interact with data. Ada offers a more natural point of view that facilitates the understanding of design decisions before moving tons of earth with minimal editing or setup. Ada allows multiple users to view 3D visualiza- tions together, from around the world to create a shared project vision. The Gold Rush Nugget Bucket, invented by Mark Peterson, is a patented gold panning kit that according to Peterson makes finding gold easy: scoop in dirt, pour in water and let gravity do all the work. Approved by the Gold Prospector Association of America (GPAA) the kit concentrates gold flakes and gold dust which are trapped in the concentration bowl at the bottom of the system. Large material, including gold nuggets, gems, coins and artifacts, are caught in the upper and lower screens. The Gold Rush Nugget Bucket kit contains tweezers, black sand magnet, suction bottle and vial for your final clean up; detailed written instructions are provided with each kit.
