Exploration has resumed on the 100%-owned Willbob gold project located close to the Kan Project (Osisko Mining/Barrick Gold) about 70 km west of Kuujjuaq. The project covers several tens of kilometres of stratigraphy and struc- tures favourable for gold in the Labrador Trough. Work comprises trenching, chan- nel sampling, prospecting and mapping. Midland is also exploring its 100%- owned James Bay gold project and is focusing on the Lasalle property about 35 km south of Hydro-Québec's LG-3 airport and the Trans-Taiga road. Last fall, a grab sample located in a 100-metre-thick shear zone returned 22.6 g/t gold as well as strongly anomalous cop- per, bismuth and molybdenum. Monarques Gold Corp. [MQR-TSXV] reported a maiden pit-constrained and underground resource at its Swanson Project 12 km northeast of Barraute total- ling 1,643,000 tonnes grading 1.86 g/t gold. Nemaska Lithium Inc. [NMX-TSX; NMKEF-OTCQX] signed an agreement to provide 7,000 tonnes/year of battery-grade lithium hydroxide to LG Chem Ltd. to be produced at Nemaska's Shawnigan Lake facility. NextSource Materials Inc.'s [NEXT- TSXV; NSRCF-OTCQB] 100%-owned Sagar property in the Romanet Horst/Labrador Trough region of Québec, is receiving renewed attention due to it hosting sig- nificant cobalt mineralization with grab samples containing up to 0.81% cobalt. Based on the cobalt content, several inter- national parties expressed interest Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. [NOU-TSXV; NMGRF-OTC; NM9-FSE] reported an updated pit-constrained mineral resource estimate of 95.8 million tonnes grading 4.28% CG on its West Zone deposit, located on the Tony claim block, part of its Matawinie graphite property 130 km north of Montreal. The company is working towards an optimized mining plan with a projected flake concentrate production output of about 100,000 tpy. Osisko Metals Inc. [OM-TSXV] has staked 12 grass-roots zinc properties cov- ering a total of 42,000 hectares of claims throughout Québec.
