[NDR-TSXV] is conducting a 5,000-metre diamond drill program on four initial high-grade gold-silver targets at its 100%- owned Las Calandrias and Los Cisnes projects in Santa Cruz province, southern Argentina. The prospects were acquired from Sandstorm Gold Ltd. [SSL-TSX; SAND-NYSE American]. Dr. Eric Roth, CEO of New Dimension, said, "I am delighted to announce the com- mencement of drilling on four high-grade gold-silver targets at our Las Calandrias and Los Cisnes projects. The majority of previ- ous work at Las Calandrias had focused on defining the bulk-tonnage, low-grade Calandria Sur deposit. In contrast, New Dimension sees tremendous opportunity to explore for additional high-grade gold mineralization around the Calandria Norte resource area, and the Morena and Refugio targets. At Los Cisnes, previous sampling and scout drilling identified high-grade silver mineralization in the Brio vein/brec- cia, and this program will seek extensions to this recently discovered mineralization." He added that results of the ongoing drill program will be released over the coming months and will culminate in the preparation of an updated mineral resource estimate for the Las Calandrias Project, scheduled for release in mid-September. Las Calandrias already has an indicated global resource of 491,000 gold equivalent ounces (AuEq) contained in 11.8 million tonnes grading 1.29 g/t AuEq. This includes 162,000 tonnes grading 9.35 AuEq at the Calandria Norte vein/breccia zone. The Phase 1 drilling program comprises 3,500 metres on three gold targets at the flagship Las Calandrias Project (Calandria Norte, Morena and Refugio) and a further 1,500 metres on the high-grade silver-gold Brio vein/breccia target at the Los Cisnes Project. At Calandria Norte, drilling is testing both lateral and down-dip extensions to the existing high-grade gold-silver resource, Morena, a subparallel gold-bearing vein structure to Calandria Norte, but with only limited previous drilling at its southern end, and Refugio, an undrilled vein target with favourable alteration and anomalous geochemical signatures at surface. Significant intercepts from a central high-grade shoot at Calandria Norte, reported by Mariana Resources, included 4.0 metres grading 75.9 g/t gold and 70 g/t silver from 92.5 metres downhole; and 4.5 metres of 101.8 g/t gold and 72 g/t silver from 81.5 metres downhole. As the Calandria Norte vein/brec- cia zone remains open to the north and south (and potentially down plunge), test- ing of possible extensions to the known high-grade gold-silver resource area is an immediate priority. The Morena vein/breccia is immediately northwest of Calandria Norte and has seen only limited drilling. Outcrops along the vein system returned gold grades ranging from below detection to a high of 116 g/t gold. The current interpretation is that the Morena vein/breccia zone strikes northeast (subparallel to Calandria Norte) and dips steeply to the east-southeast. Eleven holes were completed in the southern part of the Morena Zone; the best intercept assay- ing 0.6 metres of 68.1 g/t gold and 107 g/t silver from 59 metres. The northern exten- sion of the Morena vein is untested. The Refugio target is about 6 km west of Calandria Norte and consists of a 1.5-km- long, northeast-trending sub-cropping vein/breccia system with high anomalous molybdenum concentrations ranging up to 800 parts per million. The Refugio vein/ breccia system has not yet been drilled, so scout drilling of this target will form part of the current drill program. Additional future drill targets at Las Calandrias include the Despreciada/Nido vein system and the Pichones coincident geochemical/geophysical anomaly. At Los Cisnes, high-grade silver (-gold) values were identified from previous chan- nel sampling and scout diamond drilling on the Brio vein/breccia system that can be traced on surface for approximately 2.3 km and is up to three metres wide. Channel samples by Mariana Resources returned up to 0.8 metres grading 3,840 g/t silver and 3.0 g/t gold. In 2015, eight scout drill holes were completed with the best being 2.9 metres of 755 g/t silver. The current program is testing the lateral and down-dip extensions to this high-grade drill intercept. These offset holes will initially be done at 50-metre step-outs with a possibility of 25 metres if warranted and will test for possible paral- lel mineralized structures. Drill target generation at Sierra Blanca will continue; however, drill testing of high- grade targets there is not expected before Q4 2018 at the earliest. Reconnaissance on regional prospects is expected to restart after the Patagonian winter. New Dimension also has an option on the Savant Lake gold project in Ontario and a joint venture interest with Yamana Gold Inc. [YRI-TSX; AUY-NYSE] in the Domain gold project in Manitoba. n Diamond drilling at the Los Cisnes Project in Santa Cruz province, southern Argentina. Photo courtesy New Dimension Resources Ltd.
