The company recently hired Rex Brommecker on an advisory capacity to direct the company's exploration efforts. Having previously worked at Anglo Ashanti and Barrick Gold, he is a renowned expert on orogenic gold deposits. The hope is that Brommecker will put the company on track for a "district scale opportunity" that Golden Predator Executive Chairman Bill Sheriff is looking for. Golden Predator's other Yukon project – Brewery Creek – is a past producing heap leach gold mine that was operated by Viceroy Resource Corp. that was shut down primarily due to low gold prices. A 1,500-metre, large diameter, drilling program has just begun there to evaluate the potential for: 1) economic enhancement of this former producer; and 2) expansion of the current resource package. Fireweed Zinc Ltd. [FWZ-TSXV] is developing the Macmillan Pass Project – see article page 47. Rockhaven Resources Ltd.'s [RK-TSXV] key asset is the wholly-owned Klaza Project located in the Dawson Range Gold Belt of southern Yukon. Rockhaven recently announced an updated resource estimate for the high-grade Western BRX, Central BRX, Central Klaza and Western Klaza zones. The update includes results of 13,300 metres of in-fill and expansion diamond drilling completed since 2015. The project contains an indicated resource of 4.5 million tonnes containing 686,000 ounces of gold and 14 million ounces of silver (or 907,000 ounces of gold equivalent). Inferred resources now stand at 5.7 million tonnes containing 507,000 ounces gold and 13.9 million ounces of silver (725,000 ounces of gold equivalent). The company said pit constrained resources significantly increased in tonnes and grade, compared to previous estimates, including the Western BRX Zone, which con- tains 232,000 ounces of gold in the indicated category. The current mineral resource estimate and recent metallurgical test work have highlighted multiple priority targets for further resource expansion and definition. Triumph Gold Corp. [TIG-TSXV; NFRGF-OTCQB; 8N61-FSE] is currently focused on its 100%-owned, road accessible, Freegold Mountain Project in the Dawson Range gold-copper belt, host to the Casino Copper deposit, the Coffee gold deposit and the Klaza gold prospect. Triumph is conducting a 1,900-metre diamond drill program tar- geting the newly discovered porphyry system in the Keirsten Zone. Tony Barresi, VP Exploration, said, "Phase 1 drilling of the Keirsten Zone demon- strates Triumph Gold's commitment to test and advance the exploration concept that Revenue and Nucleus are not discrete deposits, but instead they are parts of a five- to six-kilometre-long, magmatic-hydrothermal mineralizing system with porphyry and epithermal components. The Keirsten Zone is centred almost exactly between the Revenue and Nucleus deposits and represents a high priority exploration target as a potential core or focus of the broad mineralizing system." Strikepoint Gold Inc. [SKP-TSXV; STKXF-OTCQB] has a number of projects in the Yukon: Pluto, Golden Oly, PDM, Nordic, Mahtin, Kluane, Mayo and Ross River. Results have been received for an initial metallurgical study completed on drill sam- ples collected on the Pluto property during the 2017 drilling campaign. Highlights: The combination of gravity, flotation and leach tests resulted in significant gold recov- eries of 89.6% to 98.7%. Copper from the same composites was recovered at 87.4% to 89% in the flotation stage. Field operations are underway at Strikepoint's Yukon portfolio of properties, specifi- cally the PDM, Golden-Oly and Nordic properties. This collection of three properties, now collectively termed the "Seven Wonders" exhibited high levels of exploration potential during the 2017 season. The core of the 78-km long trend contains seven buried or partially exhumed intrusions that appear to be copper-rich in the west and FAR NORTH World-class resources are discovered in Canada's Northwest Territories Come see for yourself.
