The HB Project consists of gold-silver epithermal occurrences discovered by a sediment sampling program in 2001 and 2002. It was worked on by Glamis Gold in 2004-5 but returned to Radius shortly after. Radius restarted exploration in 2009, with a new approach. Both Tahoe's Escobal silver project and Goldcorp's Cerro Blanco gold project produced broad, low-grade results with shallow drilling, but deeper holes intersected good grades. Similarly, RC drill hole BRC04-024 intersected 36.5 g/t gold and 274 g/t silver. In August, Radius sold its El Pavon and Trebol projects in Nicaragua to B2Gold for $20 million. In addition, Radius will make a payment of US $10/oz of gold on 40% of the Trebol property (in excess of 500,000 oz). B2Gold (60%) and Radius (40%) have entered into JV agreement to develop the San Jose and La Magnolia properties in Nicaragua. Radius sold its interest in the Tambor Gold project in Guatemala to Kappes Cassiday & Associates, an engineering firm with expertise in gold-silver heap leaching.
