Corporate Prof ile Advertisement Goldplay Exploration Ltd. [GPLY-TSXV; GLYXF-OTCQB] has interests in several mineral projects, its flagship project be- ing the 100%-optioned advanced-stage San Marcial near-surface, high-grade, silver-lead-zinc project in the prolific Rosario Mining District of Sinaloa State, western Mexico, where it controls over 250 km 2 . Mining in the Rosario area goes back more than 250 years – mainly for gold and silver – however, there are also lead and zinc credits in the known mineral- ized zones on the San Marcial property that hosts a NI 43-101 compliant histori- cal resource (2008) of 30 million silver equivalent (AgEq) ounces. Goldplay optioned San Marcial in May 2018 and in a fortunate set of circum- stances, the company has unearthed dia- mond drill core from a 22-hole 2010 drill- ing program. The drill core was stored in a neighbouring Mexican state. The com- pany now has in its possession all the existing core from San Marcial, some of which was only partially sampled. When Goldplay geologists were re-logging and sampling the drill cores, they were pleas- antly surprised to discover prospective valuable mineralization that was never assayed. The mineralized drill core discovery provides the potential to expand the size of the known San Marcial deposit. This is being confirmed as the company has been releasing significant high-grade silver assays obtained from the old core, including 1,285 AgEq grams/tonne over 1.5 metres. Other positive examples in- clude 57.3 metres (True Width 51.6 me- tres) grading 122 g/t AgEq, including 278 g/t AgEq over TW 12.9 metres and also in- cluding TW 16.7 metres of 117 g/t AgEq. Another hole ran 379 g/t AgEq over 11.2 metres (TW). Briefly, San Marcial geology supports silver-zinc-lead-gold mineralization host- ed in a wide and continuous hydrother- mal breccia with evidence of a multi- phase mineralizing event along major northwest-oriented faults. Goldplay is earning its interest in the 1,250-hectare San Marcial property, locat- ed just south of the La Rastra and Plomo- sas (First Majestic) historical mines, from SSR Mining [SSRM-TSX, NASDAQ], former- ly known as Silver Standard Resources, by paying $2,575,000 in cash, issuing SSR Mining 3.5 million shares and spending $3 million on exploration over 3 years. The NSR royalty granted to SSR Mining will range between 0.5% - 1.5% as deter- mined from the results of the NI 43-101 updated gold equivalent resource esti- mate. SSR Mining will also grant Gold- play a corresponding buy-back right at a purchase price of no less than $500,000 for a gold equivalent resource estimate of less than or equal to 500,000 ounces, $1.25-million for a gold equivalent re- source estimate up to 1 million ounces, $2.0-million for up to 2 million ounces, and $500,000 for each 500,000-ounce in- crement above 2 million ounces. Goldplay President and CEO Mar- cio Fonseca commented, "The shallow depth of intersections, favorable topog- raphy, width and high-grade of results announced recently continue to rein- force the high-grade open pit develop- ment potential at San Marcial. The results also outline opportunities for expansion of the deposit, not only considering the silver mineralization but also zinc and lead, with definition of new mineralized zones along strike and down dip, which were not previously incorporated in the historical interpretation. New Ag-Zn-Pb- Au mineralized zones identified from sys- tematic sampling of historical core will be included in the upcoming resource estimation update scheduled for release in January 2019." In management's view, these encour- aging drill core sample results support the open pit potential for the initial 500-metre long historical resource area. With further drilling required, to this end, Goldplay has now received drilling and trenching permits for a San Marcial drilling program to complement the re- source estimate due to be released in January and the subsequent Preliminary Economic Assessment scheduled for Unlocking a proven historical gold mining district
