The south- eastern claim block boundary is within 2.2 km of Sokoman's discovery hole. RJK Explorations Ltd. [RJX.A-TSXV, RJKAF-OTC] is focusing on several min- eral claim blocks recently acquired within the Moosehead Gold Belt. The Moosehead North and Moosehead Sound claim blocks cover ground that is contiguous and within the gold belt to the north and south of the Sokoman gold discovery. RJK has also acquired the Rolling Pond claim block which is in the gold belt fur- ther to the south and contains a former Altius Minerals exploration target which it said is drill ready. In an October 30, 2018 press release, RJK said two significant geochemical anomalies have been identified approxi- mately 4.5 km south-southeast of the main Rolling Pond Sinter Zone. RJK said it has mobilized geophysical crews to the proj- ect to perform high-resolution ground magnetometer surveys and induced polar- izations surveys over the anomalous areas. Additional soil sampling will be performed if geophysical anomalies are identified in the area. Great Atlantic Resources Corp. [GR-TSXV; PH0-FSE] jumped 140% September 27, 2018, after the company announced the discovery of a large new gold zone at its Golden Promise gold proj- ect in central Newfoundland. The Golden Promise Project is located about 55 km northeast of the Valentine Lake Gold Camp, and 40 km west of Sokoman's low-sulfidation, epithermal- style Moosehead Project. The results announced on September 27 are the first analytical results from the 2018 explora- tion program at Golden Promise, which included soil geochemical sampling. The company previously said that gold- bearing quartz veins have been reported in multiple areas of the property, including at least four gold-bearing quartz vein systems in the Jaclyn Zone, an area in the northern part of the property where much of the reported exploration has taken place. The company said results include anomalous gold in soil samples from a new target area in the southwest region of the project. The majority of soil samples from two reconnaissance sample lines in this target area returned anomalous values for gold, including all 11 samples from one approximately 570 metre-long line. White Metal Resources Corp. [WHM- TSXV] recently 100% optioned two prospects in the Valentine Lake gold play – the Little Joanna gold property and the Williams gold property. Little Joanna, about 45 km northeast of Sokoman's Moosehead Project, is a new high-grade, visible gold discovery with grab sample assays ranging up to 734 g/t gold. The Williams property, about 40 km southeast of Moosehead, yielded rock sample assays up to 52 g/t gold. Exploration plans are being formulated. n
