The company specializes in providing tools for the drilling, sawing, grinding, sanding and polishing of stone products. Headquarter in Delta, British Columbia, Pothier's builds core cutting saws at their facility in Delta. The company states that their saws are built to the precise specifications required for the job site's power requirements. Today, Pothier cutting saws are used worldwide to cut core samples of all sizes. They sell various types of diamond core cutting blades that are specifically formulated depending on the type and hardness of core to be cut. The company also provides core saw parts and accessories, gas powered saws and blades, air powered saws and core splitters. Underground mobile mining equipment, traditionally fueled by diesel, is moving towards environmentally friendlier power solutions. The adoption of battery electric vehicles (BEV's) in mining operations enables mines to reduce negative impacts on the environmental and employee health. BEV's not only provide cleaner equipment for mines but also improve a company's bottom line. RDH Mining Equipment saw this increasing demand for greener technologies and decided to develop a battery electric powered LHD (Load-Haul-Dump). RDH has also adapted this technology for trucks and utility vehicles. In 2018, the company was purchased by SMT Scharf and renamed RDH-Scharf. The company continues to develop its battery electric powered equipment line, the most recent being the SL600-EB, a battery electric powered scissor-lift. The fully-charged scissor-lift can working a full eight hour shift and operators are very pleased with its performance. It is currently at work at CODELCO's El Teniente Mine in central Chile. The unit has a side shift platform allowing workers to access tunnel walls for maintenance and installation work. Operators enjoy the improved working conditions of the battery electric unit: no noise, clean air, and little to no vibration. The company's rotary drum cutters can be used for any applica- tion that requires hard materials to be cut or ground away in an efficient and precise manner. The drum cutters use the hydraulic power available from the excavators to which they are attached and can rotate 360° without having to be disconnected from the excavator. Drumcutters offer a variety of cutter drum designs: double head drum cutters, revolv- ing rotary drum cutters and single drum cutters to name a few. The company states that "The unique combination of high power and low impact energy allows our attachments to remove materials accurately without causing damage to surrounding structures."
