m i n in g International Northair Mines preparing for an initial silver resource calculation by Brandon Larson Silvercorp is a low-cost silver-producing Canadian mining company with multiple mines in China which has paid a cash dividend since 2008. The Company's vision is to deliver shareholder value by focusing on the acquisition of small-scale projects in China with resource potential and selffund the growth of those assets. For more information, please visit our website at www.silvercorp.ca Silver mining has been going on in the historic mining city of Parral in the Mexican state of Chihuahua since the mid 1500s. Legend has it that in 1629, Juan Rangel de Biezma, picked up and licked a stone on the hill Cerro La Prieta, and proclaimed "There is a mineral deposit here." Silver was mined at this deposit for the next 340 years. The state of Chihuahua is located in the northwest corner of Mexico and is home to International Northair Mines Ltd.'s [INM-TSXV] La Cigarra silver project. The property, located 26 km from the city of Parral, exceeds 32,000 hectares and is surrounded by a number of historic mine workings. The company's exploration program is focused over a three-kilometre trend comprising three main zones: Las Carolinas, San Gregorio and La Borracha. Exploration south of the Las Carolinas Zone is supported by numerous historic mine workings and could potentially double the original mineralized strike length of the La Cigarra system from three, to six kilometres. Since the first drill program was carried out at La Cigarra in 2010, Northair has completed 154 drill holes totalling 23,876 metres, which has outlined a surface minable mineralized system. The company is currently utilizing this data to calculate an initial NI 43-101 complaint resource estimate; scheduled to be released in Q1 2013. Solid results at La Cigarra continue to be announced. On January 15, 2013, the company released the results of 10 core holes positioned in the Las Carolinas Zone. "We are very pleased with the results of our recent drilling, which was designed to infill and expand the La Carolinas system to the south." said Fred Hewett, President and CEO of Northair. "The program results support the continuation of a strong mineral system on trend with the Las Venadas Zone; lying 500 metres to the south." Highlights from the press release included the following: • ole CC-12-119 returned multiple intercepts including 4 metres of 90.8 g/t silver H and 4.9% lead starting from the bedrock contact; implying that the hole was collared in the zone. The upper 7 metres of the hole was logged as overburden, and retuned 52.2 g/t silver. Other intercepts from CC-12-119 include 4.40 metres of 45.6 g/t silver, 9 metres of 39.7 g/t silver and 2 metres of 41.6 g/t silver. • Hole CC-12-124 intercepted 14.80 metres of 147.7 g/t silver. • ole CC-12-125 intercepted 59.20 metres of 54.4 g/t, including 15.90 metres of H 164.0 g/t silver. • Hole CC-12-127 intercepted 13.10 metres of 162.5 g/t silver. Hewett continued, "these results also confirm the discovery of a previously unknown hanging-wall structure that parallels the Las Carolinas main system. Drilling has shown this new discovery has a minimum strike length of 400 metres and is also open to the south and down dip." To date, Northair has released drill results from 128 of 139 core holes. Assays from the remaining 11 core holes will be released once results are received and interpreted. Additional drilling is anticipated to commence in Q2 2013 to expand the initial resource area, which remains open; and to test recently identified district targets generated from its ongoing field programs. n TSX: SVM | NYSE: SVM 58 www.resourceworld.com february 2013
