comprises just over 32.7 million ounces silver at a 15 g/t silver cut-off. TNR Gold Corp. [TNR-TSXV] holds interests in six Argentina-located projects through its subsidiary Solitario Argentina. On November 12, TNR announced a settlement with McEwen Mining Inc. [MUX-TSX, NYSE] relating to the Los Azules copper project in Argentina. Following completion of a project feasibility study, a 25% back-in right to the northern portion of Los Azules will be restored to TNR. The company will also secure 1 million shares in McEwen Mining and obtain a 0.6% net smelter return. U3O8 Corp. [UWE-TSX; UWEFF-OTCQX] has three South American projects: the Berlin uranium project in Colombia, the Laguna Salada uranium-vanadium project in Argentina, and the Roraima uranium project in Guyana. The company released a PEA for Berlin on December 13, with a 3 km zone in the project's southern sector delineated at 1.5 million lbs indicated U3O8 at 0.11% U3O8 and 19.9 million lbs inferred at 0.11% U3O8. Berlin also contains a suite of by-products including phosphate, vanadium and rare earths. Yamana Gold Inc. [YRI-TSX; AUY-NYSE; London] has interests across South America. Minus production from the Mexico-located Mercedes Mine, total South American output for Q3 stood at 234,877 ounces gold and 2.1 million ounces silver. In addition, the Chapada gold-copper mine in Brazil produced 39.4 million lbs copper, while the Minera Florida gold-zinc mine in Chile produced 1,315 tonnes of zinc. Xstrata Plc [XSRAF-OTC; Swiss; London] runs mines and development projects in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. The company's copper unit recently reported completion and commissioning of the Lomas II Project, which will extend the mine life of its Lomas Bayas operation until at least 2028 and ensure the existing output of 75,000 tpy copper cathode is maintained. On November 27, the company reported the first production of commercial-grade copperin-concentrates at the Antapaccay operation in southern Peru.
