The first and only grab sample collected from a recent road cut returned 7.6 g/t gold, 2.08% lead, 4.02% zinc and 0.16% copper. In the Highland Valley district, drill - ing on the 100%-owned Rateria copper property has returned copper grades com- parable to deposits being mined in the region. Klondike Silver Corp. [KS-TSXV; KLSVF-OTC] is conducting a Phase I drill- ing program at its zinc-silver-lead project in southeastern British Columbia in the ghost town of Sandon. This is an under- ground mine that has seen intermittent production since 1913 and has a mill on site. In addition, the company has assem- bled a land package of about 100 km 2 of zinc-silver-lead prospects that, combined, have produced about 160 million lbs zinc, 350 million lbs lead and 40.5 million oz sil- ver. Sixty-eight of the 173 past-producing zinc-silver-lead mines in the Slocan min- ing camp are located in the Klondike silver land package. Margaux Resources Ltd. [MRL-TSXV; MARFF-OTCQB] recently optioned the road-accesible Old Timer gold property near Salmo, southeast BC. The Old Timer property is 10 km north of the company's Jackpot property at the north end of the historic Ymir gold belt. The Old Timer prospect has several gold-bearing veins. Historic drilling returned 13.3 g/t gold over 4.4 metres in drill hole 04-04. Drilling on the Bayonne property returned 1.40 metres of 39.43 g/t gold and 131.2 g/t silver. New Carolin Gold Corp. [LAD-TSXV; LADFF-OTC] is another past producer 18 km from Hope off the Coquihalla Highway. Called the Ladner Gold Project, it is a large 100%-owned district-scale land package covering approximately 144 km 2 . The property hosts five historic mines and 24 known gold occurrences. The company holds a current mine permit (M-138), as well as a five-year underground exploration permit received in April 2017. Existing infrastructure includes extensive underground develop - ment, tailings facility, power and water. During 2018, a new discovery was made. Drill hole 18NC10 intersected 93 metres averaging 1.39 g/t gold, including 7 metres of 5.75 g/t gold. New Gold Inc. [NGD-TSX, NYSE American] owns and operates the New Afton copper-gold-silver mine 10 km west of Kamloops. During 2017, the mine pro - duced 86,163 oz gold and 90.6 million lbs copper. As of December 31, 2017, proven and probable reserves stood at 54.9 million tonnes averaging 0.61 g/t gold, 2 g/t silver and 0.78% copper. Nexus Gold Corp. [NXS-TSXV; NXXGF- OTCQB; N6E-FSE] recently acquired the exploration stage gold-copper New Pilot Project located in the Bridge River Mining Camp 10.5 km west of the Village of Gold Bridge. Between 1992 and 1994 Cogema Canada conducted detailed prospecting and sampling. Ninety-nine grab samples were taken in three zones with three returning values over 100 g/t gold, including 102 g/t gold, 106 g/t gold with visible gold, and 111 g/t gold; three returning values in excess of 10 g/t gold (17 g/t gold, 21 g/t gold, 33 g/t gold). Funding arrangements for an explo - ration program are underway. Nicola Mining Inc. [NIM-TSXV; HUSIF-OTC] offers custom milling services to gold miners and is an explorer as well. The company's 200 tonne-per-day mineral processing mill and fully-lined tailings facility are located near Merritt. On the exploration front, at what is called the New Craigmont Project, Nicola confirmed the presence of a previously unexplored mineralized zone north of the nearby historic Craigmont Mine open pit. The near-surface zone is located within the boundaries of Nicola's active Mine Permit M-68. The company targeted the area after historic data and recent mapping from its 2017 and 2018 exploration programs revealed the potential of mineralization north of the pit. Intercepts from drill hole CC-18-02 include 150 metres grading 0.54% copper, including 6 metres grading 1.05% copper, 7 metres grading 2.1% copper, 5 metres grading 9.6% copper and 1.5 metres grad - ing 9.8% copper. Frank Hogel, Chairman, said, "It is becoming increasingly clear that this is a very special project. The company under- stands the importance of combining the zones to create one large consolidated deposit." Last August, Nicola drilled the nearby waster piles from the old Craigmont Mine. Highlights of the results include an aver - age grade of 2,463 ppm copper (0.25% Cu) over 40 metres for the deepest RC hole in the program (CC-RC-18-12). There are indications of potential high-grade copper mineralization in the southern side of the waste piles that are believed to also con - tain the greatest volume. Nicola Mining also has a 100% inter- est in the high-grade Treasure Mountain silver/lead/zinc vein deposit (suspended producer) just off the Coquihalla Highway 27 km east of Hope. Nyrstar NV [NYRSF-OTC; NYR- Brussels] has a 100% interest in the Myra Falls underground zinc-copper-silver-gold mines (HW and Battle-Gap) located 90 km southwest of Campbell River, central Vancouver Island. Operations began in 1966. Following a temporary suspension, operations resumed in September 2018. Concentrator has a capacity of 1.4 million tonnes per year. PJX Resources Inc. [PJX-TSXV] has been exploring six prospects in the Cranbrook area of southeast BC. Recent geophysical surveys have indicated a possible large sulphide body at depth on its 100%-owned Vine property near Cranbrook, about 35 km from the past- producing Sullivan Mine. PJX plans to first test shallow targets for massive sulphide potential before testing the deep target. Shallow targets are at depths between 100 and 200 metres. Additional work to assess the magnetotelluric anomaly and other data is on-going. Sable Resources Ltd. [SAE-TSXV; SBLRF-OTC] has staked an 189,197-hectare land package in the Spences Bridge gold belt that trends northwest from Merritt.
