The company has said its Red Cross Lake Project in central Newfoundland has excellent potential for a new nickel- copper-cobalt magmatic sulfide deposit discovery. The company also holds a stra - tegic Labrador land position in the Voisey's Bay South project, adjacent to ongoing exploration by Fjordland Exploration Inc. [FEX-TSXV], a company funded by privately-owned Robert Friedland related company HPX BC Holdings Inc. Zonte Metals Inc. [ZON-TSXV] is a gold-focused company which aims to pick up projects with large-scale potential. Its portfolio includes the Cross Hills and Wing's Point projects in Newfoundland and Labrador. Wing's Point hosts two large undrilled targets near surface. Zonte said recent drilling on the Cross Hills Project led to the discovery of high- grade copper, gold and silver mineralization on the Dunns Mountain target. Highlights from five drill holes include 14% copper, 15.8 g/t gold and 352 g/t silver. Morien Resources Corp. [MOX-TSXV; APMCF-OTC] is a dividend-paying mining company that holds royalty interests in the Donkin coal mine and the Black Point Aggregate Project, both in Nova Scotia. Black Point is expected to have capital costs of around $80 to $110 million. It is slated to be a significant employer over an anticipated lifespan of 50 years. Donkin, meanwhile, is expected to reach an annual - ized sales volume rate of between 2.7 and 3.0 million tonnes in 2020. Northern Shield Resources Inc. [NRN-TSXV; N9S-FSE] is currently map- ping and sampling its 80%-optioned Hot Shot gold project, Nova Scotia where colli- form-crustiform banded quartz veins have been discovered. About 4 km of epither- mal, low sulphidation, gold-bearing quartz veins have been traced so far. Ground geophysics are planned leading to a drill program for early fall. Megumagold Corp. [NSAU-CSE; NSAUF-OTC; 2CM2-FSE] reported making a new gold discovery during its maiden drill program at its Killag Project 13 km north of Sheet Harbour and 20 km east of the Atlantic Gold's producing Touquoy gold mine, Nova Scotia. Highlights include 4 metres of 4.94 g/t gold, 2 metres of 4.64 g/t and 1.0 metre of 54.2 g/t gold. Spruce Ridge Resources Ltd. [SHL- TSXV] has a 100% interest in the Great Burnt property, central Newfoundland, where the Great Burnt Zone has indicated resources of 381,300 tonnes of 2.68% cop - per, inferred resources of 663,100 tonnes at 2.10% copper and is open at depth. A recent high-grade discovery at the Great Burnt Zone returned 7.5 metres of 9.45% copper, including 3 metres of 19.3% copper.
