First quarter diamond sales represent diamonds recovered during the fourth quarter of 2018. Tres-Or Resources Ltd. [TRS-TSXV] is gearing up for a $440,000 exploration program that is targeting its 100%-owned Guigues kimberlite pipe near Notre-Dame- du-Nord, northwestern Québec. In the early 1990s, another company drilled three RC holes; however, as this was the start of the Canadian diamond industry there were no protocols or procedures and the work was flawed, although a colourless 2 mm by 1 mm by 0.5 mm macrodiamond was recovered. Tres-Or completed some work 2000- 2010, including till sampling, prospecting ground and airborne geophysics as well as six RC holes. Five drill holes are planned for the Guigues pipe later this year for microdiamond testwork. Other nearby targets will also be drilled in a $239,000 program in 2019 and into 2020. It has been determined that the Guigues pipe has simi - lar chemistry to the De Beers Victor Mine and Metalex's U2 pipe further north along the Lake Temiskaming Structural Zone. In another development, Tres-Or has farmed out a 65% interest in its Fontana gold project near Amos, Quebec to Kiboko Exploration Inc. (private) who can earn-in by making cash payments or subscribing for stock in Tres-Or totalling $1-million in the next 4 years and complete a NI 43-101 technical report that establishes a mineral resource estimate of a minimum of one million ounces of gold of inferred classifi - cation or higher. Troilus Gold Corp. [TLG-TSX] received positive new drill results from its Troilus gold project, located within the Frotet-Evans greenstone belt in Québec. Approximately 40,000 metres of drilling are under way as part of the 2019 explo - ration program, focusing on expanding near-surface mineralization (in the J zone and Z87 South areas) to support an open- pit mine operation. J4 results continue to support the trend of an expanding gold system that extends laterally along strike and down - dip of known drilling. Highlights in the J zone include 3.87 g/t gold equivalent (AuEq) over 6 metres and 2.16 g/t AuEq over 6 metres within a broader intersection of 1.27 g/t AuEq over 74 metres in hole TLG-ZJ419-109. Vanstar Mining Resources Inc. [VSR- TSXV; VMNGF-OTC; 1V8-FSE] has been notified by 80% optionee IAMGOLD Corp. that drilling on Vanstar's 100%-owned Nelligan Project 45 km south of Chapais has returned 56.44 g/t gold over 6.0 metres, including 1.5 metres of 224 g/t gold. The 50-hole program totaling 17,654 metres was designed to trace the northern limit of the Renard Zone; create a geo - logical model in order to calculate a gold resource; and check for an extension to the west. All goals have been achieved. n
