This year, Apex said it has been advised to carry out a two-phase program that would consist of rock sampling, and geological mapping to finalize drill site locations, followed by drilling. Banyan Gold Co. [BYN-TSXV] recently re-negotiated the terms on the Aurex- McQuesten properties options, which will allow the company to earn a 100% interest in the Yukon properties. The con - tiguous Aurex and McQuesten properties are located in the Yukon's Mayo Mining District, adjacent to Victoria Gold's Eagle heap leach mine and the Alexco Resources Keno Hill silver district. Banyan said the addendum to both agreements gives it the option to extend the time frame to com - plete the first earn-in (51% total interest) by up to three years. Banyan's flagship Hyland gold project is located approximately 70 km northeast of Watson Lake, along the southeast end of the Tintina gold belt. The Hyland main zone hosts a NI 43-101-compliant indi - cated resource of roughly 236,000 ounces. On top of that is an inferred resource of 288,000 ounces. Copper North Mining Corp. [COL- TSXV; CPNVF-OTC] has a 100% interest in the advanced Carmacks copper project 220 km north of Whitehorse. An inde - pendent NI 43-101-compliant Preliminary Economic Assessment was prepared in 2016. The PEA envisioned an open pit cop- per, gold and silver mine with a mine life of at least seven years. Resources stand at 15.69 million tonnes oxide, 0.94% copper, 0.38 g/t gold ad 3.97 g/t silver measured and indicated. The project is 11 km from the Yukon power grid. Golden Predator Mining Corp. [GPY- TSXV] recently secured the approval from the Yukon government to proceed with the restart of its Brewery Creek gold mine without having to re-enter the permitting process. Brewery Creek is a former open pit, heap leach mine located 45 km from Dawson City. With established resources grading more than 1.0 g/t gold and a low Capex to production in a safe first world juris - diction, Brewery Creek has a clear path to production as an economically and environmentally proven project, Golden Predator has said. Brewery Creek is one of two key assets in the Golden Predator portfolio. The other is the 3 Aces gold project. The 3 Aces prop - erty hosts an orogenic gold project and is located northeast of Watson Lake. A high- grade bulk sample has been extracted from the 3 Aces deposit that was processed by Golden Predator. Granite Creek Copper Ltd. [GCX- TSXV] is focused on the 100%-owned Stu copper-gold-silver project, which covers 111 km 2 adjacent to Pembridge Resources Plc's high-grade Minto copper gold-silver mine and Copper North's advanced stage Carmacks copper-gold-silver project in the Yukon's Minto Copper District. Group Ten Metals Inc. [PGE-TSXV; PGEZF-OTC; 5D32-FSE] signed an agree - ment for Mount Cairnes Resources Corp. to acquire a 51% interest in Group Ten's 93 km2 Ultra PGE-nickel-copper property by paying $750,000, issuing 3 million shares and spending $3.75 million on exploration with Group Ten as operator. The Ultra property is part of Group Ten's Kluane Project. Trenches yielded up to 19.5 g/t 3E (5.5 g/t Pt, 13.5 g/t Pd, 0.5 g/t Au combined), with 4.1% Cu and 1.7% Ni. K2 Gold Corp. [KTO-TSXV] has five gold projects in the Yukon and Alaska. Its flagship property is the Wels Project, located 45 km east of Beaver Creek in the west-central Yukon. Having recently earned a 90% interest in the Wels prop - erty, K2 Gold will now advance the project as operator. Covering 350 contigu- ous quartz claims on 7,200 hectares, the Wels property hosts an orogenic-style gold deposit that is likely similar to Newmont Goldcorp's [NGT-TSX; NEM-NYSE] Coffee Project.
