Having raised $15 million from private placement financings, the company aims to complete a 75-hole, 17,000-metre drill program on the massive sulphide zone, and a three-hole, 1,000-metre program on the northern gold area of the North Rackla claim block. In a June 26, 2019 press release, the company said the main components of the program are now on site, including a 32-man camp, which is now in place and operational. The program should be com - pleted by the end of September 2019. "The Cantex team are exceedingly opti- mistic about the summer program and look forward to better defining the subsurface extent of the 2.4-kilometre long massive sulphide zone which has been identi- fied by soil-talus sampling, prospecting, trenching and drilling," Fipke said. Below is an update on some of the other Yukon projects attracting investor attention. Aben Resources Ltd. [ABN-TSXV; ABNAF-OTCQB; E2L-FSE] is exploring the Justin gold-silver-tungsten prospect 35 km southeast of the Cantung Mine in the Watson Lake Division. Aben has completed a 1,556-metre drill program at Justin that tested for gold-mineralized extensions on high priority targets. The diamond drill rig completed 963.0 metres in four holes at the POW Zone, an area that contains gold-bearing vein, breccia and skarn replacement mineralization as dem - onstrated in surface sampling and recent drill programs (60.0 metres grading 1.19 g/t gold in drill hole JN11009). Investors may not be too familiar with skarns; however, skarns are actually an important source of valuable metals. Often, limestone is replaced via hot metal-rich fluids with, say, gold, copper or tungsten mineralization, for example. The 2019 POW Zone drilling was car - ried out to evaluate the potential to host bulk-tonnage gold mineralization and to test for continuity of higher-grade skarn mineralization along strike. All four of the holes intersected sulfide mineralization with assays pending. Four rotary air blast holes were also completed at the POW Zone to test for the subsurface extension of semi-massive sulfide veinlets (pyrite + arsenopyrite +/- galena) discovered on surface. The majority of RAB drilling took place at the recently discovered (2017) Lost Ace Zone, a gold-bearing vein system that has returned significant gold mineraliza - tion in trenching (chip sample averaged 20.8 g/t gold over 4.4 metres, including 88.2 g/t gold over 1.0 metre). Aben also holds the VF gold property, also in the Watson Lake Division. Alexco Resources Corp.'s [AXR-TSX; AXU-NYSE] key asset is the 100%-owned United Keno Hill Mine, which ranks as Canada's second largest producer of sil - ver, behind Cobalt, Ontario. During an illustrious history, it produced 217 million ounces of the precious metal. On March 28, 2019, Alexco released the results of an independent Pre-Feasibility Study, which puts the Keno Hill Project on a clear path to production. The study was centred on the Flame & Moth and Bermingham deposits, with contribu - tions of 60% and 30%, respectively. Supplemental mine production is expected to be sourced from the Bellekeno deposit early in the production period and from the Lucky Queen deposit later in the mine life. Average annualized contained silver in concentrate is forecast at 4.0 million ounces annually, based on full production years. Apex Resources Inc.'s [APX-TSXV; SLM TLF-OTC] portfolio includes the Mount Anderson gold and silver prop - erty and the Red Ridge gold-silver-copper property. In 2019, the focus will be on the Mount Anderson property, which consists of 163 quartz claims, covering approxi- mately 31 km 2 , and is located 55 km south of the Territorial capital of Whitehorse. Sporadic exploration dates all the way back to 1906. The claims lie along the Wheaton River Valley and are contiguous with New Pacific Metals Corp.'s Mount Skukum property, which produced 80,000 ounces YUKON F R O M A R I C H H I S T O R Y A P R O M I S I N G F U T U R E OPERATING CANADA'S NEXT GOLD MINE T S X .
