recently agreed to acquire Leagold Mining
in an all-share transaction worth $769.3
million, creating one of the world's leading
gold producers operating entirely in the
Americas. The combined company, to be
named Equinox Gold, will have six oper-
ating mines in Mexico, Brazil and the US
with combined production approaching
700,000 ounces of gold in 2020. It will also
have two development projects and two
expansion projects.
Ethos Gold Corp. [ECC-TSXV; ETHOF-
OTCQB; 1ET-FSE] is focused on potentially
large, drill ready projects that can be drill
tested with a relatively modest budget. It
owns 8% of Carlin Type Holdings Ltd., a
private BC firm. Ridgeline Minerals Corp.,
a unit of Carlin Type, is earning a 100%
interest in three Nevada gold exploration
projects, including two Carlin-type targets.
Fiore Gold Inc. [F-TSXV; FIOGF-
OTCQB], launched by financier Frank
Giustra, is an Americas-focused gold
producer with an initial plan to produce
150,000 ounces annually, and later emerge
as a mid-tier company. Its key Nevada assets
are an open pit heap leach operation known
as the Pan Mine. It also has the Goldrock
property, a 200 km
2
land package along the
Battle Mountain and Eureka trends.
GeoXplor Corp. [private] provides full
service contract geophysical and geological
and geochemical surveys, data processing
and data interpretation and drill supervi-
sion in Nevada and Arizona.
Getchell Gold Corp. [GTCH-CSE]
recently signed a deal with Canarc
Resources Corp. [CCM-TSX, CRCUF-
OTC-BB] that gives Getchell the option to
acquire 100% interest in the Fondaway
Canyon and Dixie Comstock properties in
Churchill County, Nevada. Fondaway hosts
a historical indicated resource of 409,000
ounces of gold as well as an inferred
resource of 660,000 ounces of gold. The
property contains multiple exploration tar-
gets that remain untested.
