Searchlight Resources Inc. [SCLT-
TSXV; CNYCF-OTC] conducted airborne
geophysics on the newly acquired Flin
Flon North claims about 10 km northwest
of Creighton, Saskatchewan and the city of
Flin Flon, Manitoba. The company has also
staked the Kulyk Lake rare earth project
located about 165 km north of La Ronge
and 65 km south of the Key Lake Mine.
In 2009, grab and channel samples
included 56.18% Total Rare Earth Oxides
(TREO), including 12.49% Critical Rare
Earth Oxides (CREO) in grab sample
AGKJR001; 30.6% TREO including 6.82%
CREO in grab sample AGKJR002 and
19.04% TREO including 4.21% CREO in
channel sample AGKJR003.
SSR Mining Inc. [SSRM-TSX, NASDAQ]
has a 100% interest in the Seabee Gold
Operation about 125 km northeast La
Ronge. The Santoy underground mine has
been in continuous commercial production
since 2014. Commercial production at the
Seabee underground mine began in 1991
and exhausted ore in 2018. All ore is pro-
cessed at the Seabee mill, which has been
in operation since 1991 and is expected
to achieve 1,050 tonnes per day in 2019.
The Seabee mill facility produces gold
doré bars that are shipped to a third party
refinery. Access to the mine site is by fixed
wing aircraft.
SSR is also exploring its 100%-owned
Amisk gold-silver project in the Flin Flon
greenstone belt, Saskatchewan, about 20
km southwest of Flin Flon, Manitoba. The
project is comprised of the Amisk gold
deposit, the past-producing Monarch gold
mine and a number of gold occurrences.
Indicated Resources are 0.83 million
ounces of gold averaging 0.85 g/t and 6.0
million ounces of silver grading 6.2 g/t.
Inferred Resources stand at 0.59 million
ounces of gold averaging 0.64 g/t and 3.7
million ounces of silver grading 4.0 g/t.
Star Diamond Corp. [DIAM-TSX;
SHGDF-OTC] has a 100% interest in the
Star – Orion South Diamond Project and
Fort à la Corne Diamond District 60 km
east of Prince Albert. Rio Tinto Plc [RIO-
NYSE, ASX, LSE; RTPPF-OTC] recently
gave notice that it will exercise four
