The new Alpha Minerals/Fission Energy discovery in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin has
created a great deal of excitement with claim staking and exploration heating up.

Aldrin Resource Corp. [ALN-TSXV] has
flown an airborne magnetic and electromagnetic geophysical survey covering the
Triple M property located 9 km south to
11 km west of the recent Alpha/Fission
Patterson Lake South uranium discovery
in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan.
Alpha Minerals Inc. [AMW-TSXV]
and its 50% joint venture partner Fission
Energy Corp. (recently acquired by
Denison Mines Corp.[DML-TSX]) have made
a significant uranium discovery at Patterson
Lake South in the Athabasca Basin, most
notably the intercept of 4.92% U3O8 over 34
metres in drill hole PLS13-038. Other drill

results include 8.5% U3O8 over 20.5 metres
and 20.73% U3O8 over 4.0 metres. Alpha
and joint venture partner, Acme Resources
Inc. [ARI-TSXV] have identified four radon
anomalies at Skull Lake, adjacent to AREVA
's
closed Cluff Lake Mine.
Anthem Resources Inc. [AYN-TSXV]
recently completed a 13-hole, 2,361metre drill program on the Hatchet Lake
property on the eastern margin of the
Athabasca Basin. Results included 0.15
metres of 1.51% U3O8. The project is
part of a 50/50 joint venture operated by
Denison Mines Corp.
AREVA Resources Canada Inc. has
a 30.195% interest in the producing
McArthur River uranium mine near Tody
Lake, Saskatchewan (Cameco 69.805%).
AREVA has a 70% interest in the McLean
uranium mine in the Wollaston Lake
area, SK, (Denison Mines 22.5%. OURD
Canada Company Ltd. 7.5%). AREVA has
a number of exploration projects in the
Athabasca Basin.
Ashburton Ventures Inc. [ABR-TSXV]
is planning work programs for its Sienna
North and West uranium prospects in the
Athabasca Basin set to begin in the coming
weeks. First phase plans for both projects include conducting a property-wide
