Innovative ways to explore for and outline mineral deposits in the challenging terrain are being developed specifically to meet the challenges unique to the area. Shawn Ryan, the man who staked much of the Yukon, demonstrated The Drone – a very small and nimble remote controlled plane equipped with a camera and a brain. It comes home if it loses connection with its operator and its flight path can be programed on a lap top. The drone is used to take photo images of prospects that can be impossible to completely traverse by foot or vehicle. But, the tool generating a lot of excitement was Shawn Ryan's Geo Probe. Though there is only currently, one working Geo Probe, it has already worked on a few projects. We got to see it in action at Pacific Ridge's Dome property. The Geo Probe is a small drill, mounted on tracks and is operated by remote control. The probe has stabilizing legs that allow it to gather samples from the steepest of terrain. It takes around a three-metre sample and can just enter the bedrock. The sample is photographed, studied with an X-ray fluorescence (XRF) gun to find indicator minerals and bagged and tagged for future reference. The whole process takes 12 minutes. This tool means that projects can save an enormous amount of money by greatly decreasing the amount of trenching that needs to be done. No reclamation is required as the only footprint left behind by the Geo Probe is a very small hole. Shawn Ryan is also working on his RAB (Rotary Air Blast) Drill, a small, remotecontrolled, drill that recovers a thinner than conventional sample and drills down to 60 metres. The drill should be available by next summer. Permitting is not required for drilling with the RAB Drill, as the footprint it leaves behind is as small as the footprint left behind by the Geo Probe. The implementation of this tool could significantly bring down drilling costs. Ryan is developing these exploration tools through his company, Ground Truth Exploration. This year's media tour was a little less hectic than has been in the past few years as the general downturn in the industry SEPTEMBER 2013 has also reached the Yukon, but there were bright spots. There are definitely less drills turning on exploration projects and now isn't a good time to raise exploration dollars but some drilling is occurring and others plan on resuming exploration in 2014. As usual, the larger more advanced projects are in a better position. Optimism is alive and well in the Yukon, there is always next season. And more than a one explorer I spoke to told me that they just might have figured out where that rich deposit feeding the creeks and rivers might be. ANTHILL RESOURCES LTD. [PRIVATE] Anthill Resources was the first stop on the Yukon Media Tour. Exploration drilling continues at their Einarson Project located in the east end of central Yukon in the northeast of the Selwyn Basin, an area believed to host Carlin-type mineralization. The town of Mayo is approximately 150 km west of property. The Einarson Project is adjacent to ATAC Resources' Osiris Project where the Nadaleen trend extends to the Einarson property where there is similar pathfinder element geochemistry. Completed so far, in the 2013 drill program, are 10 holes in the Venus Zone and three holes in the Mars Zone. The 2013 drill program has planned for 5,000 metres of drilling. The first assays are just coming in from the summer's drill program. Anthill is following up on about 20,000 soil samples that were taken around the main target areas. The soil sample program is ongoing. Anthill's 2012 exploration program identified multiple trends prospective for Carlin-style, gold mineralization identified through drilling, surface mapping and silt and soil geochemical sampling. A 1,875-metre diamond drilling program was completed in the Phase I drill program. Venus Zone Drill hole D2-12-05 intersected an average grade of 9.67g/t Au over 38.7m and in the Mars Zone drill hole DDHA-12-1 intersected an average grade of 0.571g/t Au over 21.16m and 0.318g/t Au over 25.94m. There are plans to drill the Misty target in the northeastern part of the property. Infrastructure remains a challenge, but like Jeff Carry, the project manager said, "Grade buys infrastructure when you have a 6 to 8 gram per tonne resource." Good grades solve a lot of problems. In the F2 Zone, exploration is just underway with soil sampling and two drill pads built. The company plans to drill four to six holes in the F2 Zone this fall. Geochemistry, along with mapping is helping Anthill to understand the geometry of the project. ATAC RESOURCES LTD. [ATC-TSXV] Drilling continues at ATAC Resources' 100%-owned, 1,700 km2, Rackla Gold Project. The company has drilled over 200 holes since 2010 for a total of 65,000 metres in the only known Carlin-type district outside of Nevada. We visited the Sunrise Zone, a newly discovered area within the Nadaleen Trend just 300 metres east of the Osiris Zone and upslope of a strong goldin-soil geochemical anomaly. On August 14, 2013, ATAC Resources reported that results from the first seven diamond drill holes completed at the Sunrise indicate that the Sunrise and Osiris Zones coalesce into a larger, near-surface gold zone and confirms grade, width and continuity at Sunrise. The Sunrise Zone's strike length has been extended to 200 metres and tested to a depth of 250 metres from surface. • Drill hole OS-13-200 intercepted 3.0 m of 5.28 g/t gold from 148.18 m to 151.18 m and 1.05 m of 11.95 g/t gold from 175.73 m to 176.78 • Drill hole OS-13-201 intercepted 12.72 m of 9.49 g/t gold at 197.59 m to 210.31 m • Drill hole OS-13-206 intercepted 15.24 m of 9.83 g/t gold at 120.70 m to 135.94 m • Drill hole OS-13-208 intercepted 12.77 m of 6.29 g/t gold at 90.98 m to 103.75 m Julia Lane, Partner and Senior Project Geologist for Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited – a private engineering and geological firm who handles ATAC's technical and logistical support, said that with budget restraints every hole drilled has been well targeted. ATAC is using an excavator to get deep samples and to cover a lot of ground. They are infilling some highly anomalous areas this year doing grid samwww.resourceworld.com 7
