NMKEF-OTCQX] is developing one of the richest spodumene lithium hard rock deposits in the world, both in volume and grade. Spodumene concentrate produced at the company's Whabouchi Mine in the James Bay region, where permitting is under way, and from other global sources will be shipped to the company's lithium hydroxide/carbonate processing plant in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Québec. New Millennium Iron Corp. [NMLTSX; NWLNF-OTCQX] is an iron ore exploration and development company that controls an emerging 210-km long magnetic iron ore (taconite) belt called the Millennium Iron Range located near Schefferville, Québec. The company recently reported that Tata Steel Minerals Canada (TSMC), in which NML has a 20% interest, has loaded its first ore train with Direct Shipping Ore (DSO) products. The train containing products from TSMC's dry crushing and screening plant departed with 164 cars of 100 tonnes capacity each SEPTEMBER 2013 from Silver Yards, Newfoundland and Labrador, near Schefferville, to the Iron Ore Company of Canada terminal in SeptIles, Québec. NioGold Mining Corp. [NOX-TSXV] has a number of projects within the Abitibi region and encompasses four former gold producers, namely the Norlartic, Kierens (First Canadian), Marban and Malartic Hygrade mines that collectively produced 640,000 ounces of gold. The Marban Block contains the Kierens, Norlartic and Marban deposits which have a collective resource estimate of 1.56 million oz ounces gold in the measured and indicated categories and 0.51 million oz in the inferred category. Northern Superior Resources Inc. [SUP-TSXV] recently agreed to acquire a 100% interest in the Waconichi gold property from Murgor Resources Inc. [MGR-TSXV]. The 17,588-hectare property is adjacent to Northern Superior's Croteau Est gold property near Chibougamau. Orbite Aluminae Inc. [ORT-TSX; EORBF-OTCQX] owns 100% of the mining rights on its 6,441-hectare GrandeVallée property, the site of an aluminous clay deposit located 32 km northeast of Murdochville. Orbite recently announced an off-take agreement with Glencore International AG, a subsidiary of Glencore Xstrata plc, for the purchase of smeltergrade alumina from the corporation's proposed smelter-grade alumina plant. Osisko Mining Corp. [OSK-TSX; EWXFSE] operates the Canadian Malartic gold mine in Malartic. The first gold bar was poured in April 2011, and commercial production began in May 2011. The deposit represents one of the biggest gold reserves in production in Canada with proven and probable reserves of 10.11 million oz gold with resources increasing through ongoing drilling on adjacent mineralized zones.
