[FDC-TSXV; FDCFF-OTC; F3E-FSE] is preparing to launch several uranium explo- ration programs in the prolific Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan. To fund its share of the programs, Forum has raised about $4 million. At the 100%-owned, 9,910-hectare Clearwater Project, on trend along the southwest border of Fission Uranium's PLS discovery claim, Forum has identified 11 tar - gets to be drilled on the northernmost part of the claim, starting in February. These tar- gets were identified by prospecting, airborne magnetic, electromagnetic and radiometric surveys, followed by radon and gravity surveys. The 3,000-metre drill program will comprise 12 to 15 holes at a cost of approxi - mately $900,000. At the Northwest Athabasca Joint Venture (Forum, operator/NexGen Energy Ltd. [NXE-TSXV], 64%, Cameco Corp. [CCO- TSX; CCJ-NYSE], 23.5%; AREVA, 12.5%) Forum conducted a third drill program last year. The 17-hole, 3,449-metre program encountered high-grade uranium mineral - ization in two zones. Zone A, which remains open along strike in both directions, returned 3.0 metres of 1.34% U 3 O 8 . Drilling at the Otis West target returned 40 metres of uranium mineralization, including 24.5 metres of 0.21% U 3 O 8 . with higher grade intercepts up to 1.8% U 3 O 8 . over 0.5 metres. This project hosts the historical Maurice Bay resource of 1.5 million lbs U 3 O 8 . (600,000 tonnes of 0.6% U 3 O 8 .t). The partners are discussing explora- tion plans. Forum is considering exploration plans for the 100%-owned Maurice Point property, adjacent to the NW Athabasca JV property. Airborne MAG and EM surveys are planned for this summer on the Henday Joint Venture property at a cost of $150,000 (Forum 40%/Rio Tinto Plc [RIO-NYSE] 60%). Relogging and sampling some of the historic drill holes will also be carried out. Forum is part of another joint venture at the Key Lake Road Project, which contains the 100%-owned Highrock South property. Located in the eastern Athabasca Basin, this property has a similar geological envi - ronment to Patterson Lake South and is on the same conductive trend that hosted the previously mined Key Lake deposit (196 mil- lion lbs of 2.89% U 3 O 8 .. In a press release, Richard Mazur, P.Geo., President and CEO, said Forum "will maintain its core property position in the area in search for a shal- low, open pit deposit." Other claims at the Key Lake Project are held in the Karpinka JV (50/50 Forum/Anthem Resources Inc. [AYN-TSXV; VAERF-OTCQX]. Forum Uranium has varied interests in a joint venture at the North Thelon Project 50 km west of Baker Lake, in the Thelon Basin, Nunavut, which is adjacent to AREVA's 133 million lb Kiggavik deposit averaging 0.54% U 3 O 8 .. Forum is negotiating work commitments with partners Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. [AEM-TSX, NYSE] and Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. n Forum Uranium gears up for busy year
