36 www.resourceworld.com j u n e / j u l y 2 0 1 4 second quarter of 2014 and progress toward the completion of a NI 43-101 resource report in respect of the Firebag Project. The corporation has also been in discussions with a major railway company for developing a future frac sand transloading facility in Fort McMurray within a 27-acre miscellaneous lease for which Athabasca Minerals has applied. Management is preparing preliminary cost estimates and examining alternatives for pro- cessing and transloading of products. Claim Post Resources Inc. [CPS-TSXV] has reported that P&E Mining Consultants Inc. has estimated the Seymourville Project hosts a NI 43-101 inferred resource estimate of 15 million cubic metres or at a bulk density of 1.73 tonnes per cubic metre; 25 mil- lion tonnes at a composite grade of 94% SiO 2 . The sand composite is a mixture of 99% pure silica sand with a matrix of clay, fine silica and iron minerals which will be removed when processed as frac sand. The deposit is located 200 km northeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba on the east shore of Lake Winnipeg. Victory Nickel Inc. [NI-TSX], which holds four nickel projects in Canada, has added a frac sand project to its assets through sub- sidiary Victory Silica Ltd. The company recently started sales of frac sand produced at its Seven Persons frac sand plant (7P Plant) near Medicine Hat, Alberta. Sand produced during commission- ing is being sold and delivered on a spot basis. The 7P Plant is a 500,000 ton-per-year dry frac sand process- ing facility built by Victory in 2013/2014. The plant supplies the highest quality, Midwestern white frac sand to customers in Alberta, BC, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and North Dakota. In Phase 1, the company began sales of Midwestern frac sand from the 7P Plant by shipping partially-processed sand purchased in Wisconsin to the 7P Plant for final processing and distribution. Phase 2, including construction of a concentrator in Wisconsin, is expected to reduce costs and assure security of sand supply through the control of a frac sand mine in Wisconsin. In Phase 3, Victory Silica has identified a site in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where it plans to build a larger frac sand plant to process and distribute both imported and domestic sands, including sand mined as a co- product of development of a nickel mine at the company's Minago nickel project in Manitoba. In February 2014 Rainmaker Resources Ltd. [RMG-TSXV] signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the 50/50 partnership of Zimtu Capital Corp. [ZC-TSXV] and 877384 Alberta Ltd. to acquire four metallic and industrial minerals permits in northwestern Alberta, totaling approximately 24,363 hectares called the Peace River Project. The permits have potential to host deposits of silica sand suitable for hydraulic fracturing, and are immediately adjacent to a current producer. Chris Healey PGeo, Director, said, "The acquisition of these four claims, adjacent to a current producer of frac sands, is a highly significant addition to our growing portfolio of proper- ties. The claims are well located relative to several markets, and have excellent access to rail, giving Rainmaker a significant com- petitive advantage in this rapidly expanding market" The Peace River Project is located north of the community of Peace River, adjacent to the Peace River frac sand quarry, which is owned and operated by Canadian Silica Industries. It extends for approximately 40 km along the Peace River, straddling both the east and west banks where the target unit is exposed. Last January, Rainmaker entered into an option agreement with JCMP Management Corp. to acquire a 3,637-acre quarry permit on the Jayjay Lake silica sand project in northern Saskatchewan about 185 km northeast of Prince Albert. Access is excellent with an all-season road crossing the centre of the property. The property consists of 92 Quarry Dispositions (3,637 acres), for which a Quarry Permit has been issued by the Government of Saskatchewan. The sand deposit lies at surface and consists entirely of beach sand from the shores of glacial Lake Agassiz. Victory Mountain Ventures Ltd. [VMV-TSXV] is conduct- ing a Phase I stratigraphic compilation and investigation on its 100%-optioned Ells River silica sand project located west of Fort McKay, Alberta. The field-based Phase II, to start shortly, will involve mapping, sampling and either drill testing or trenching in order to progress to an NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate late this year or early next year. U3O8 Corp. [UWE-TSX; UWEFF-OTCQX] granted rights to an Argentine operator for which the company will receive option payments and a 7.5% production royalty from its Carina frac sand property in Chubut Province. n www.claimpostresources.com CLAIM POST RESOURCES INC.
