Prosper Gold Corp. [PGX-TSXV] has completed the first 19 drill holes (6,221.5 metres) of its 2014 drilling program on the Star porphyry copper-gold proj- ect. Drilling initially focused on the Star discovery area. The Pyrrhotite Creek tar- gets, 4.5 km southwest of Star, was also tested. Highlights of the drill program include: • Hole S045 returned 107 metres grad- ing 0.77% copper, 0.407 g/t gold & 1.02 g/t silver for a copper equivalent (CuEq) of 1%. The hole included 63.98 metres of 1.12% copper, 0.593 g/t gold & 1.30 g/t silver for a CuEq of 1.47%. • Hole S041 returned 198.27 metres of 0.38% copper, 0.192 g/t gold and 0.70 g/t silver for a CuEq of 0.49%. • Hole S048 returned 76.94 metres of 0.78% copper, 0.550 g/t gold & 1.28 g/t silver for a CuEq of 1.10%. • Hole S046 returned 257.15 metres of 0.31% copper, 0.171 g/t gold & 0.50 g/t silver for a CuEq of 0.41%, including 66 metres of 0.53% copper, 0.303 g/t gold & 0.72 g/t silver for a CuEq of 0.71%. Last season, drill results included: • Hole S024 returned 312.16 metres of 0.37% copper, 0.240 g/t gold & 0.69 g/t silver for a CuEq of 0.51%. • Hole S025 returned 269 metres of 0.42% copper, 0.198 g/t gold & 0.61 g/t silver for a CuEq of 0.54%. In an interview, Dirk Tempelman-Kluit, VP Exploration, told Resource World initial drilling is completed at the Star discovery area where 19 holes have been drilled. "We have held off drilling the Star North and Copper Creek targets as we felt those areas need more ground work before we drill to better define targets," he said. "We also drilled at Pyrrhotite Creek across the Diamond drilling on the Star Star porphyry copper-gold project in the Sheslay Valley, northwest British Columbia. Photo courtesy Prosper Gold Corp.
