Japan has plans to start up four nuclear power plants shuttered after the Fukushima disaster. The two Sendai reactors are expected to open in early 2015. Analysts predict the restarting of these plants could be a market catalyst giving investors the confidence to invest again in uranium. Japan will restart 25 of its 48 reactors by 2018, according to projections by a Bloomberg New Energy Finance, in a December 16 news report. All signs point toward a very signif- icant global increase in the number of nuclear reactors over the next decade or so. Demand is not far from outstrip- ping supply today and a report, by Raymond James Ltd. predicts that we will be in a uranium supply deficit by 2020.
