Lomiko is also a founding shareholder and 40% owner of
Graphene Energy Storage Devices, an R&D company that has part-
nered with the Research Foundation of Stony Brook University to
develop supercapacitors for energy storage.
Northern Graphite Corp. [NGC-TSXV; NGPHF-OTCQX] is
advancing the Bissett Creek graphite deposit, located in east-
ern Ontario. On March 2, the company announced that flake
graphite concentrate from Bissett Creek had been independently
tested by NGS Naturgraphit and found to meet or exceed qual-
ity requirements for all major end-user markets. On January 22,
it announced that concentrates from the Bissett Creek deposit had
been successfully upgraded to the highest nuclear-grade classifi-
cation level using the company's proprietary purification process.
At a 1.02% Cg cut-off, the resource at Bissett Creek currently
stands at 69.8 million tonnes of measured and indicated, grading
1.74% Cg, and 24 million tonnes inferred, grading 1.65% Cg
Zenyatta Ventures Ltd. [ZEN-TSXV] holds the Albany graphite
project located in north-central Ontario, near the town of Hearst.
Effective November 15, 2013, the project comprises 25.1 million
tonnes indicated at 3.89% Cg for 977,000 tonnes Cg contained,
and 20.1 million tonnes inferred at 2.20% Cg for 441,000 tonnes
Cg contained. On March 4, the company announced receipt of a
$500,000 grant from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corp.
for development work. On March 9, Zenyatta announced that the
first step in the screening of Albany graphite was complete, with
positive results returned for use in multiple components for fuel
cells. Further advanced testing is planned, with Zenyatta seeking
to build and test fuel-cell components in the near future.
