Every year, the success of Mining for Miracles is fuelled by the generosity of hundreds of mining, exploration and development companies, service pro- viders and suppliers across BC, Alberta, the Yukon and Northwest Territories. These representatives, their employees, their friends and family donate through employee and corporate fundraising ini- tiatives and events such as Jeans Day TM , the Diamond Draw, Slo-Pitch, the Hooked on Miracles Fishing Tournament, and the Teck Celebrity Pie Throw. Funds raised by Mining for Miracles in 2015 and 2016 will support the devel- opment of the new CAUSES research clinic (CAUSES) at BC Children's Hospital. CAUSES, which was expected to see its first patient and family on June 4, will pro- vide genome-wide sequencing to support the accurate and efficient diagnosis of rare genetic disorders in children who would otherwise require numerous tests or who might not be diagnosed at all. n
