In July 2015, Fission Uranium announced plans to merge with Denison Mines. The deal will create a new uranium company called Denison Energy and will be owned 50/50 by both companies. Kivalliq Energy Corp. [KIV-TSXV] conducted a $500,000 exploration pro- gram at the Hatchet Lake property in June 2015. The program included prospecting, mapping, ground magnetometer/VLF EM geophysical surveys and biogeochemical (vegetation-black spruce)/soil geochemical surveys. Kivalliq also holds a 100% interest in the 200,677-hectare Genesis property northeast of the Athabasca Basin, with Roughrider Exploration funding the cur- rent exploration program pursuant to an option to acquire up to an 85% interest in the property. Eagle Plains Resources Ltd. [EPL- TSXV] reports a work program is underway to follow up on uranium miner- alization discovered near the SW corner of T-Lake, which returned 125 ppm uranium. Prospecting and ground geophysical sur- veys are being carried out in the vicinity of historical drilling, with silt and water sam- pling coupled with broad-spaced (50-100 m) property-scale geochemical sampling. Purepoint uranium Group Inc. [PTU- TSXV] has completed its summer analysis and submission of plans for the next stage of exploration at its Hook Lake Project in Saskatchewan's Athabasca basin, where last winter's program encountered high- grade mineralization at the Spitfire zone: 12.9% U 3 O 8 over 0.4 metre within 2.23% U 3 O 8 over 2.8 metres. The Hook Lake JV project is owned jointly by AREVA Resources Canada Inc. (39.5%), Cameco (39.5%) and Purepoint (21%). Skyharbour Resources Ltd. [SYH- TSXV] is conducting a five-hole, 1,480-metre drill program on the Preston uranium property, a 50/50 joint venture with Athabasca nuclear [ASC-TSXV], where three drill holes will test the Canoe Lake target. Drill holes will target anomalies and indicators similar to those seen on other recent discoveries in the Western Athabasca region and elsewhere in the basin. The company has been making progress at its Falcon Point uranium and thorium project, where a drill program has just been completed. Assay results from soil, chip and biogeochem samples are expected to be released over the next few weeks. nexGen Energy Ltd. [NXE-TSXV] recently released drill results from step-out drilling which saw all five holes hit sub- stantial mineralization. Highlights include hole AR-15-48c3, which intersected 170.5 metres of total composite mineralization, including 13.2 meters of off-scale radio- activity (>10,000 to >61,000 cps) within a 530.5-metre section. Drill rigs continue to turn at Rook I as part of the company›s $9-million, 25,000-metre summer drill pro- gram, which began on June. DiaMonDS Shore Gold Inc. [SGF-TSX] released diamond results for the 12-hole, large- diameter drilling (LDD) program which was recently completed on the Orion South (OS) kimberlite in the Fort à la Corne area, central Saskatchewan. Highlights include 3.25, 1.15, 1.09 and 1.04 carat stones. north Arrow Minerals Inc. [NAR- TSXV], 80%, and JV partner Stornoway Diamond Corp. [SWY-TSX], 20%, recov- ered 487 diamonds from kimberlite body PK150 at the Pikoo Project in east-central Saskatchewan. Ken Armstrong, President and CEO of North Arrow, said, "These new diamond results from PK150 are consistent with those reported from the 2013 discovery drill holes and confirm PK150 as a sig- nificantly diamondiferous kimberlite with increasing size potential located less than 20 km from road and power infrastructure in Saskatchewan. Planning is underway for a detailed follow-up geophysical program in advance of a winter drilling program to further delineate PK150 and the other kim- berlites on the property, as well as to test new targets." n
