"We are waiting for the tide to change," he said. Canada Carbon Inc. [CCB-TSXV; BRUZF-OTC; U7N1-FSE] holds a 100% interest in three graphite properties in Québec, including two past-producing graphite mines: Miller and Asbury. The Miller hydrothermal lump-vein historical graphite mine and surrounding property are 80 km west of Montreal. The Miller Mine is a past graphite and mica producer worked around 1845. Canada Carbon recently filed a PEA on the Miller property that contemplates extraction of graphite and marble from three proposed open pits and planned production of about 1,500 tonnes of high- purity graphite and 150,000 tonnes of marble blocks per year. The PEA envisages a 19-year mine life for graphite recovery, including one year of pre-production. Initial capital costs are estimated at $44.4 million. Based on the results of the PEA, a Pre-Feasibility Study is recommended. Energizer Resources Inc. [EGZ- TSX; ENZR-OTCQB; YE5-FSE] is developing its 100%-owned, feasibility- stage Molo graphite project in Madagascar. Independent testing verified the flake graphite concentrates from the Molo meet or exceed requirements for major end mar- kets for natural flake graphite, including refractories, anode material for lithium-ion batteries, specialty graphite foils, and gra- phene ink applications. In October 2015, Energizer said an independent third party successfully manufactured a graphite foil from Molo's flake graphite concentrate and results indicate it met all specifications for graph- ite foil applications. The next stage is the manufacturer's product evaluation process, which is to provide a large bulk sample of concen- trate to conduct a full production run of graphite foil. If successful, the foil pro- duced would be sent down to the party's end-customers to be evaluated for use in their products. Every solar panel tablet, smartphone and flat-panel television con- tains a sheet of graphite foil to help keep the device cool and dust free. Flinders Resources Ltd. [FDR-TSXV; FLNXF-OTC] bills itself as the world's first, pure play, publicly-traded, graphite pro- Flake graphite magnified 200 times. Photo courtesy Lomiko Metals Inc.
