Silver also has the ability to eliminate odours and is now being used in running shoes, athletic wear, surgical masks and even some underarm deodorants. In recent years colloidal silver is taken orally by some to help prevent colds and the flu. Metal door handles are common – unfortunately, bacteria can survive on them.
