Shortly after, the JV partners are expected to provide an update on a mine plan and begin mine permitting. DONLIN GOLD LLC In 2007, Novagold Resources Alaska and Barrick Gold US formed Donlin Gold LLC to oversee the development of the Donlin Gold Project in Alaska. Donlin is owned equally (50/50) by both partners with full participation of both companies on all aspects of project development. The project has measured and indicated resources of 39 million ounces of gold and six-million ounces of inferred resources. The Donlin Gold Project is in the environmental permitting process and has recently received public comments on its Environmental Impact Statement. Concurrently, the partnership is advancing other permits required for construction. Donlin Gold has the potential to produce 1,500,000 ounces of gold annually in the first five years of operation and 1,100,000 ounces per year over its 27-year life. n
