[MOZ-TSXV] has received excellent gold assays over wide intervals in the first two holes of the 2017 drilling program on its Marathon deposit at the 100%-owned Valentine Lake Gold Camp on the Island of Newfoundland, province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Best intercepts include 3.43 g/t gold (uncut) over 50.0 metres with 15.36 g/t (uncut) over 7 metres, 2.57 g/t over 50 metres with 6.10 g/t over 12 metres, and 7.49 g/t (uncut) over 13 metres with 29.07 g/t (uncut) over 3 metres in MA-17-159; and 1.53 g/t over 73 metres with 6.42 g/t over 7 metres and 3.50 g/t over 6 metres in MA-17-158. Results from 2016 drill holes were also excellent, including MA-16-154 which intersected bonanza grades of 25.33 g/t gold (uncut) over 14 metres, including 310.35 g/t (uncut) over 1 metre near sur - face. Wide intervals of high-grade gold were intersected in deeper sections of drill holes MA-16-153 to MA-16-156 and extended MA-15-034 with best deep inter- cepts that included 3.03 g/t gold over 18 metres in MA-16-053 and 2.84 g/t gold over 31 metres in MA-16-156. Highest assay to date was 1,183.62 g/t gold over 1.0 metre in hole MA-14-024. The road-accessible Valentine Lake property hosts four, near surface, mainly pit-shell constrained, measured and indi - cated resources totaling 1,060,100 oz gold grading 2.20 g/t and 200,000 oz gold at 2.85 g/t inferred. The 50-100-metre wide, sub-vertical mineralized corridor of the Marathon deposit has a strike length of over 550 metres, extends to depth over 400 metres, and is open along strike and to depth. A new resource for the Marathon deposit is expected by the end of February. Phillip Walford, President and CEO, said there are two rigs drilling around the clock at the Marathon and Leprechaun deposits. Results of the winter 2017 drill - ing at Marathon, Leprechaun, Sprite and Victory deposits and other new gold show- ings, will be incorporated into a later 2017 resource update in advance of a PEA. Best intercepts, 200 metres or more below surface, included 3.03 g/t gold over 18 metres with 7.03 g/t over 3 metres and 6.87 g/t over 4.0 metres in MA-16-153; 2.64 g/t over 40 metres with 13.12 g/t over 5 metres, 8.81 g/t over 1 metre and 9.67 g/t over 1 metre in MA-16-154 to name a few. True widths are 70-85% of core length. These new, deep, high-grade gold inter - cepts occur between 70 and 120 metres down-dip from previous drilling and dem- onstrate continuity and strength of the mineralization corridor of the Marathon deposit. Electric power is nearby. A 50-per- son all-season camp has been built. Metallurgical tests showed 93-98% recoveries via conventional milling and 50-70% recoveries with heap leaching at Leprechaun and Marathon. n MINING
