[CGP-TSXV; GWN-F, B; CTNXF- OTC] is exploring early-stage prospects in Ecuador and Chile. It was recently awarded the Bramaderos concession in Ecuador fol - lowing a public bidding process. The 4,949-hectare concession is in Loja province, two hours' drive from the Loja provincial capital city. Easy access is by the PanAmerican Highway which crosses the concession. The Bramaderos property was sporadically explored between 1970 and 2007. Porphyry style gold-copper mineralization has been found associated with quartz vein stockworks and breccias. An extensive, 5 km by 1-2 km, gold and copper (+/- molybdenum) in-soil anomaly in the central part of the property has been partially tested by trenching and diamond drilling. A total of 888 rock and 1,324 soil samples have been collected, 17 trenches dug and channel sampled, 31 line-km of geophysical surveys carried out, and 10,426 metres of drilling completed to test some of the anomalous areas. Brooke Macdonald, CEO, said, "Bramaderos has excellent potential to host large-volume gold and copper min - eralization. The available data will be fully assessed and a 3D mineralization model developed. Several near, drill ready targets, have been identified, and the prop- erty is available for joint venture." At the Cascabel copper-gold porphyry JV in northwest Ecuador, Cornerstone has a 15% interest financed through to completion of feasibility. SolGold Plc [SOLG-AIM], the operator, is funding exploration. Hole CSD-16-019 (Hole 19) intersected 835 metres of copper miner - alization (estimated true width 560 m). Bornite ('peacock ore' – 63% copper) and molybdenite are present in the mineralized section of Hole 19. Bornite mapped at sur- face and in Hole 19 support the existence of Hematite Hill, Alpala Southeast, and Cristal as high priority targets over 750 m of strike extension southeast of Alpala Central. Hole 18 encountered intense veining and min - eralization over 665 m and continues at 2,144.8 m depth, testing the lower levels and southwestern side of the Alpala system. Fourteen different targets have been defined at Cascabel and only the Alpala deposit has been drilled which continues to grow with each new hole. Drilling has focused on defining the geometry of the Alpala deposit, which is open in all direc - tions. Over 27,000 m of drilling has been completed. Drilling will focus on expanding the Alpala deposit and testing the southeasterly extensions of the greater Alpala system, at Hematite Hill and Alpala Southeast. SolGold has completed geological mapping and soil sampling along with geophysical surveys over the Alpala cluster and Aguinaga tar - gets. SolGold has spent over US $35 million on the program, corporate costs and invest- ments in Cornerstone. SolGold is planning further metallurgi- cal tests and completion of a conceptual early stage mine and plant design and a scoping study for an economic develop- ment at Cascabel. n THAYER LINDSLEY AWARD Dr. Peter Megaw receiving Thayer Lindsley Award The Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada has awarded Dr. Peter Megaw, co-founder of MAG Silver Corp., the Thayer Lindsley Award for 2017. He will be hon- ored at the Awards Gala & After Party on March 7 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, during the PDAC's annual convention in Toronto. Dr. Megaw made a blind discov- ery, the Juanicipio silver deposit, in Mexico that contains more than 200 million ounces silver.
