R ecent assays from two holes drilled at the Adamera Minerals Corp. [ADZ-TSXV; DDNFF-OTC] Oversight area of the Cook Mountain Project in northeastern Washington State have returned high-grade gold values. The company is exploring for high-grade gold within hauling distance of the operating Kinross Gold Corp. [K-TSX; KGC-NYSE] Kettle River mill in northeastern Washington. The Kinross under- ground Buckhorn Mine has now run out of ore and the company would like to keep the mill running by processing ore from other nearby gold deposits. While the existing third-party mill and superior logistics allow a smaller resource to be potentially economic, Adamera's primary objective is the discovery of a large, stand-alone, high-grade gold deposit. Adamera is the dominant regional exploration company in the area. The current drilling was conducted to test a geophysical/geo- chemical anomaly. In a press release, Mark Kolebaba, President and CEO of Adamera, said that the Oversight property gold grades warrant immediate follow-up drilling. Results from holes OS17-01 and OS17-03 (drilled from the same drill pad) support the validity of VTEM conductors as exploration targets. The new gold mineralization is shallow and thus very cost effective to drill test. The new drill results have been integrated into Adamera's data- base that includes soil geochemistry, geophysics and historical drilling. Soil geochemistry sampling exhibits several gold anomalies that cover an area significantly larger than the old Overlook gold mine and Oversight target. Adamera geologists' interpretation sug- gests mineralization is open in several directions. The soil data, particularly areas with grades ranging from 0.4 to 0.7 g/t gold, are of high interest for additional shallow, high-grade mineralization. The follow-up drilling will initially test the area immediately southwest of the first drill site, targeting shallow high- grade mineralization. "I am confident that our success in discovering gold on the Oversight VTEM target will translate to many of our targets, a num- ber of which have been described in news releases. Importantly the flow of assay results seems to be improving," said Kolebaba. As of September 7, eight holes have been drilled testing six tar- gets. The company is waiting for further assay results; results for drill holes OS17-02, OS17-04, OS17-05, HLK17-01, HLK17-02 and GF17-01 are pending. Long delays with the laboratory have frus- trated the program. Hazardous fire conditions also restricted drilling activities since late July. Other field work completed included over 3,000 soil samples, 450 line-km of ground magnetic geophysical surveying and prospecting. That work has identified several new target areas that are slated for drilling. More than 1,000 acres of additional lands have been acquired. The Cook Mountain Project encompasses a number of prospec- tive areas, including Oversight, Lambert Creek, HLK, Lamefoot South and East, Goodfoot, Strongfoot and St. Peters Creek. Approximately 1 million ounces of gold have been mined from high-grade deposits in the area which included production from the Oversight and Lambert Creek properties. Adamera has introduced some new geological concepts that suggest the potential for signifi- cant gold deposits in the area. Eight historic drill holes at Oversight have included 10.7 metres grading 11 g/t gold, 45 metres of 5.1 g/t, 18 metres of 7.5 g/t and 2.13 metres of 43.4 g/t gold. Adamera has a number of other mineral properties in the area, including Empire Creek, the Flag Hill Mine and the Talisman cop- per-silver mine. n Adamera drills high-grade gold at Oversight Project MINING
