Three of the properties are drill-ready: Lithium One Project, Lithium Two Project, and Lithium West Project. At the Lithium One and Two projects, 2016 field work yielded positive results. Rockcliff Copper Corp. [RCU-TSXV; RO0-FSE] is exploring its Snow Lake Project which it says "contains the highest grade, unmined copper and zinc depos- its and the highest grade former gold producer in the entire greenstone belt." The project comprises the DSN property, Laguna property, and the SLG property. The Laguna gold mine trend hosts numer- ous high-grade quartz vein systems and the former Laguna Gold Mine, the first and highest grade gold mine in Manitoba. On August 29, Rockckiff closed a $1.35 mil- lion non-brokered private placement to be used for exploration of the Snow Lake Project. Satori Resources Inc. [BUD-TSXV; STRRF-OTC] is evaluating its 100%-owned Tartan Lake gold project for develop- ment or re-commissioning of the Tartan Lake gold mine in Flin Flon. The project has a decline ramp with 2,100 metres of underground development, tailings pond, power and a 500 tpd mill (requires refur- bishment). The 2,670-hectare property has excellent exploration potential and is underexplored by modern standards. Mineralization remains open at depth and along strike with numerous gold showings throughout the property. This summer, Satori initiated a two-phase, 4,000-metre drill program comprising 2,000 metres of step-out drilling and 2,000 metres follow- up drilling. Trevali Mining Corp. [TV-TSX, Lima; TREVF-OTCQX; 4TI-FSE] completed two drill programs and an airborne VTEM sur- vey on their 100%-owned, road accessible, copper-zinc Ruttan Project in northern Manitoba. The Ruttan Mine operated from 1973 to 2002 and produced ~55 million tonnes grading 1.23% copper and 1.41% zinc. The company states that a detailed review of historical data should be con- ducted on the property to determine further exploration opportunities. Vale S.A.'s [VALE-NYSE] Thompson Complex, in Thompson Manitoba, has been in operation for more than 50 years producing over 4 million tonnes of nickel. The complex is comprised of two mines, a mill, a smelter and a refinery, which Vale acquired in 2006. Yamana Gold Inc. [YRI-TSX; AUY- NYSE] is exploring its 100%-owned Monument Bay gold-tungsten project 340 km southeast of Thompson. Yamana acquired the property in 2015 by the acquisition of Mega Precious Metals. A PEA was released in February 2009. Fall 2015 drilling yielded favourable results. As of March 2016, indicated resources were 36.6 million tonnes averaging 1.52 g/t gold (1.8 million oz) with inferred resources of 41.9 million tonnes averaging 1.32 g/t gold (1.8 million oz). n
