Surface and drill exploration at the Dean Project has uncovered a 7-km long zone of up to 3,800 parts per million (ppm) lithium in a highly- soluble, non-hectorite, uplifted lakebed claystone. The company said it believes this new lithium source has the potential scale to significantly impact future produc- tion of lithium in the Clayton Valley. Dajin Resources Corp. [DJI-TSX, DJIFF-OTC] is a Canadian exploration and development company, holding strategi- cally located, brine-based, lithium projects in Argentina and Nevada. The company's Teels Marsh and Alkali Lake projects are in Nevada with the 100%-owned, 1,558-hect- are Alkali Lake property approximately 7 miles from Albemarle's Silver Peak Mine. The 100%-owned Teels Marsh Project consists of 294 placer claims and covers a surface area of 2,369 hectares. Dajin has been carrying out exploration at Teels Marsh since late 2014. The initial work on the marsh was surface sampling to confirm the presence of lithium-bearing minerals reported from surveys in the 1970s. Enertopia Corp. [TOP-CSE; ENRT-OTC] is involved in both lithium processing technology as well as exploration of its Clayton Valley lithium prospects. The com- pany has been conducting research and development to recover battery grade lithium carbonate from its Clayton Valley prospects. Its partner, Genesis Water Technologies, has been evaluating bench test data provided by Enertopia to com- plete a larger and enhanced lithium recovery system. This $200,000 pre-paid second phase bench test has now com- pleted the technical design phase. The second phase of the second bench test will use synthetic brine solutions cre- ated from surface samples from the two bulk samples taken at Clayton Valley. Results of these tests will be incorporated into the make-up of the synthetic brine solutions comprising the synthetic brines for the upcoming bench tests Genesis Water will be conducting through its scaled-up bench tests. LiCo Energy Metals Inc. [LIC-TSXV, WCTXF-OTCQB], a company exploring for cobalt in Ontario, is also involved in lithium exploration in Nevada. LiCo has an option agreement allowing the company to earn a 70% interest (subject to a 3% net smelter return royalty) in the Black Rock Desert lithium project. The company said the geological setting combined with the pres- ence of lithium in both active geothermal fluids and surface salts within the Black Rock Desert property match characteris- tics of lithium brine deposits in the Clayton Valley. Recent exploration results are highly encouraging and warrant detailed explora- tion drilling for a Clayton Valley-type brine deposit, the company said. The company also has an option to acquire a 100% interest (subject to a 3% net smelter royalty) in the 348-claim Dixie Valley Exploration Project in Churchill County, west-central Nevada. This is an early-stage conceptual lithium brine proj- ect covering 2,817 hectares of ground. The target is a lithium brine model based on Clayton Valley deposits and several basins in South America. Nevada Sunrise Gold Corp. [NEV- TSXV] and Advantage Lithium Corp. [AAL-TSXV], which can earn a 50% interest from Nevada Sunrise, have been drilling the Neptune lithium project located 37 miles southwest of Tonopah near the Silver Peak lithium mine. Spearmint Resources Inc. [SRJ-TSXV, SPMTF-OTCBB, A2AHL5-FSE] recently announced plans to raise $1 million for exploration on a property portfolio that includes lithium prospects in the Clayton Valley area, comprising two claim blocks covering 800 acres. The claim blocks border properties held by Cypress Development Corp. and Pure Energy Minerals. "We feel that lithium is at the forefront of the battery metals sector as the electric car market is exploding and the vanadium grid storage growth is in the early stages of a bull market," said Spearmint President James Nelson. "We look forward to a very active 2018,'' he said. n NEVADA
