Premier Gold has conducted several exploration campaigns that have indicated mineralization poten- tially amenable to both open pit and underground mining methods. Premier's Hardrock Project, located 275 km north- east of Thunder Bay, is also a partnership with Greenstone Gold. An environmental assessment for the project has been under- way with both the Federal and Ontario environmental assessment agencies since April 2014. Pure Gold Mining Inc. [PGM-TSXV; LRTNF-OTC] has a 100% interest in the Madsen Project 16 km west of Red Lake. The company has completed a 50-metre underground exploration drift in advance of test mining and bulk sampling. The drift was driven in the hanging wall of the McVeigh Zone and is designed to provide a drill platform for definition drilling of the upper portions of the current mineral resource. Underground drilling is targeting the bulk sample location. With an indicated resource of 1,744,000 oz gold at 8.7 g/t gold (in 6.2 million tonnes) and an inferred resource of 296,000 oz gold at 7.9 g/t gold (in 1.2 million tonnes), the project benefits from existing infrastructure including a mill and tailings facility, paved highway access, and access to power and water. Rainy Mountain Royalty Corp. [RMO- TSXV; RMNXF-OTC; EK7N-FSE] has about a dozen mineral projects in northern Ontario covering various precious and base metals. Tahoe Resources Inc. [THO-TSX, Lima; TAHO-NYSE] acquired Lake Shore Gold on April 1, 2016, adding two underground mines to its asset base: Timmins West and Bell Creek in addition to attractive growth projects and exploration targets. Timmins West includes three deposits in produc- tion: the Timmins, Thunder Creek and 144 Gap deposits. The Bell Creek shaft project is intended to provide access to resources and support continued growth both at depth and along strike. Tahoe's Timmins opera- tions produced 167,000 oz gold in 2017. n ONTARIO
