Exploring TURKEY Australia] has an 80% interest in the Çöpler Gold Mine (Lidya Mining 20%), an open pit, heap leach operation 120 km southwest of Erzincan. Gold production in 2011 was 185,418 oz. Proven and probable reserves are 95.4 million tonnes at 1.4 g/t (4.4 million oz). Measured and indicated resources are 182.6 million tonnes at 1.4 g/t gold (8 million oz). Alamos Gold Inc. [AGI-TSX] owns the Ag Dag and Kirazli gold projects in ˘i ˘i Çanakkale Province on the Biga Peninsula of northwest Turkey. The company has held successful public participation meetings as part of the environmental impact assessment report (EIA) process for the Ag Dag and Kirazlı projects and the com˘i ˘i pany remains on track to submit its final EIAs over the next several months, with approvals expected in the first and second quarters of 2013. Alamos also published an initial pitconstrained inferred resource estimate of 24.6 million tonnes grading 0.81 g/t gold and 4.7 g/t silver for 640,000 oz gold and 3.8 million oz silver at Çamyurt. The Çamyurt Project is about 3 km southeast of the development-stage Ag Dag Project. ˘i ˘i Drilling at Çamyurt defined a mineralized zone continuous for at least 1,200 metres along strike, with additional potential to extend mineralization to the northeast and at depth. Aldridge Minerals Inc. [AGM-TSXV; A1W-Frankfurt] released an in-pit updated NI 43-101 resource estimate for its Yenipazar gold and polymetallic deposit in Turkey. The estimate is based on 54,248 metres of drilling, including 20,604 metres of diamond drilling. Highlights of the estimate include indicated resources of 29,669,000 tonnes, an increase of 11% since the June, 2012 resource. Anatolia Energy Corp. [AEE-TSXV] is engaged in the exploration and development of oil and gas in Turkey. The company can earn between 25% and 50% working interests in 11 onshore licences in southeast Turkey's Anatolia Basin totaling 1,162,856 gross acres or 4,706 km2 (520,004 net acres or 2,105 km2). Anatolia has identified four major exploration trends, including the Silurian Dadas shale oil trend, over its licences and has identified 15 prospects. APM Mining, a Turkish company, is exploring for copper in the Bogazkale districts, Corum province. Ariana Resources [AAU-London AIM] is focused on epithermal gold-silver and porphyry copper-gold deposits and is developing a portfolio of prospective licences on its own in western Turkey and in joint venture with Eldorado Gold in northeast Turkey. Eldorado owns 51% of this joint venture and is fully funding all exploration work on the JV properties, while Ariana owns 49% and is the operator. Ariana's flagship assets are its Kiziltepe and Tavsan gold projects, which form the Red Rabbit Gold Project.
