Loki East hosts a number of prospective exploration targets as well as five known kimberlites. Plans for 2019 include increasing the density of till sampling in specific areas on the property, building the KIM database and working towards a future drill program. North Arrow, 31%, has a JV with Dominion Diamond, 69%, in the La de Gras area. The Diavik diamond mine is 10 km to northeast and the Ekati Mine 20 km north. An ice road comes through prop - erty boundary. NorZinc Ltd. [NZC-TSX; NORZF- OTCQB] has been working on its 100%-owned advanced stage Prairie Creek zinc-lead-silver mine 200 km west of Fort Simpson. Considerable underground development has been completed. The on-site mill needs some upgrading and new equipment. Permits are pending for upgrading the access road on which con - centrate would be trucked to Fort Nelson, BC. Worker accommodations are on site. Based on a 2017 Feasibility Study, Prairie Creek will have a 15-year mine life with average annual metal in concen - trate of 105 million lbs lead, 95 million lbs zinc and 2.1 million oz silver. Capex to complete the project is estimated at $300 million. NorZinc has received operating permits and is seeking financing. Osisko Metals Inc. [OM-TSXV] con - trols the Pine Point Mining Camp where it expects to convert the near-surface, historical, unclassified historical resource targeting 50 million tonnes at about 5% zinc plus lead. The objective of the 2018 drill program was to convert the Cominco Ltd. unclassified near-surface historical resources into a NI 43-101 inferred mineral resource. These areas are considered to be amenable to open-pit mining. The project is located on the south shore of Great Slave Lake near infrastructure and paved high - way access and with 100 km of haulage roads already in place. Assay results from the latest seven drill holes completed in the East Mill Zone included drill hole EM-18-PP-151 which intersected 8.07% zinc and 6.80% lead over 12.74 metres within the modelled K-32 pit boundaries. Rover Metals Corp. [ROVR-TSXV; ROVMF-OTCQB] has developed a 3-D interpretative video model summarizing the gold exploration work carried out on the Bugow iron formation, the known host of the historical gold mineralization on the Cabin Lake gold project 110 km northwest of Yellowknife. In its 1986 and 1987 annual reports, Aber Resources stated there were 100,000 tons at 0.30 oz/ton gold at the Cabin Lake gold zone on the north limb of the folded Bugow iron formation (43-101 standards). Seabridge Gold Inc. [SEA-TSX; SA-NYSE] has a 100% interest in the Courageous Lake gold project 240 km northeast of Yellowknife. Its FAT deposit is one of Canada's largest undeveloped gold projects. A Preliminary Feasibility Study completed in July 2012 estimated proven and probable reserves of 6.5 million ounces gold, an average annual production of 385,000 ounces at an average cost of $780/ oz and a mine life of 15 years. Silver Range Resources Ltd. [SNG- TSXV; SLRRF-OTC] holds several properties in the NWT, including the Bling, Itchen, Sparta and Uptown. Sixty North Gold Mining Ltd. [SXTY-CSE] is exploring for gold on the 80%-optioned Mon gold property 40 km north of Yellowknife. The company has completed a 135-km helicopter-borne VTEM plus, time domain electromagnetic and horizontal magnetic gradiometer sys - tem. On a new massive sulphide horizon, 8 grab samples collected from one of the zones (5656 Zone) over a 150-metre strike length averaged 253 g/t silver, 1.61 g/t gold, 2.45% lead and 1.66% zinc. Slave Lake Zinc Corp. [SLZ-CSE] recently completed a test ground geophys - ical survey at the 100%-owned O'Connor Lake zinc-lead-silver project. The property which features a series of vein systems is located east of Fort Resolution and the former-producing zinc-lead mines at Pine Point. SSR Mining Inc. [SSRM-TSX, NASDAQ] holds the Sunrise Lake Project located 130 km northeast of Yellowknife. On care and maintenance, the prospect hosts silver-gold and base metal mineralization outlined by 21,774 meters of surface diamond drilling since discovery in 1987. Strongbow Exploration Inc. [SBW- TSXV; SBWFF-OTC] maintains a 100% interest in the 7,642 hectares Nickel King (nickel-copper-cobalt) property in the NWT about 145 km northeast of Stony Rapids, Saskatchewan. A NI 43-101 com - pliant geological resource model yielded 11.1 Mt grading at 0.40% Ni, 0.10% Cu and 0.018% Co containing 44,500 tonnes of Ni, 10,600 tonnes of Cu and 2,200 tonnes of Co in the indicated category. Inferred resources are 33.1 Mt grading at 0.36% Ni, 0.09% Cu and 0.017% Co containing 119,300 tonnes of Ni, 29,000 tonnes of Cu and 5,600 tonnes of Co. Talmora Diamonds Inc. [TAI-CSE] and 50% optionee Olivut Resources Ltd. [OLV-TSXV; OLVRF-OTC] are exploring for diamond-bearing kimberlite pipes in Talmora's Seahorse Project north of Great Bear Lake. Talmora also has other claims in the Horton River area. Eighteen diamonds have been found in pathfinder 'train' sam - ples in the Lena West area. The companies noted that kimberlite indicator minerals in samples are found in diamond-bearing kimberlites. A number of magnetic targets will be followed up at Seahorse. TerraX Minerals Ltd. [TXR-TSXV; TRXXF-OTC; TX0-FSE] has several proj - ects in the NWT. In cooperation with the Geological Survey of the NWT and the Giant Mine Remediation Project, TerraX was able to recover 16,000 meters of his- torical drill core that was drilled on the TerraX property. Its 2018 exploration programs delivered targets at the 100%-owned Yellowknife City Gold project. The project encompasses 783 km 2 of contiguous land immediately north, south and east of Yellowknife. The Barney Deformation Corridor, Crestaurum and Sam Otto are the top three targets which will be the focus for expansion of gold deposits. Homer is a new high- potential target and will be the focus of confirmation drilling. n NORTHWEST TERRITORIES
