In Wyoming, the company's uranium projects include the Aladdin, the Dewey Terrace and the Savageton. In February of 2014, Powertech announced a merger with Azarga Resources Ltd.; the resulting entity will be named Azarga Uranium Corp. Purepoint Uranium Group Inc. [PTU-TSXV] has several projects in the Athabasca Basin: Red Willow, Smart Lake, Hook Lake, Turnor Lake, Henday Block, Umfreville, Red Willow North, McArthur East, and Forsythe. Drilling is underway at Hook Lake (21% owned by Purepoint/partner with Cameco and AREVA). Purepoint is also drilling at Smart Lake (23% owned by operator Purepoint/ JV with Cameco) and at the Red Willow (100%-owned, optioned to Rio Tinto). Skyharbour Resources Ltd. [SYH- TSXV] is a member of the Western Athabasca Syndicate currently drilling in the Athabasca Basin. Skyharbour also has the Mann Lake (60%) uranium project in the basin. The Western Athabasca Syndicate is a partnership among Skyharbour Resources Ltd., Athabasca Nuclear Corp., Lucky Strike Resources Ltd., and Noka Resources Inc. to explore and develop a 287,130-hectare suite of uranium proper- ties along the prospective margin of the Western Athabasca Basin. Under the terms of the agreement, each of the four com- panies has an option to earn 25% in five uranium properties: Preston Lake, North Patterson, RY, South Basin, and Wheeler. The syndicate has drilled five holes (986 metres) with three to four additional holes planned. The syndicate reported April 15, 2014 that "All five of the holes inter- sected a broad, hydrothermally altered and reactivated, structural zone. Three holes returned elevated radioactivity." The goal of the Syndicate is to explore and develop this largely unexplored uranium property package in the basin with plans to spend at least $6 million on exploration over the next two years.
