Preliminary results indi- cated new PGE mineralization discoveries returning up to 12.6 g/t platinum + palla- dium + gold on the Gaspar claim block and other new discoveries on Ceres, Itokawa and Palladin claim blocks. Nemaska Lithium Inc. [NMX-TSXV; NMKEF-OTCQX] has completed a positive feasibility study on the Whabouchi open pit and underground mine (spodumene) and concentrator to be located in the lower James Bay region of Québec and the hydromet plant to be located in Salaberry- de-Valleyfield, Québec. Expected mine life is 26 years with life-of-mine revenue of $6.9 billion. Pre-tax NPV (8% discount) is $924 million with a pre-tax IRR of 25.5%. Nemaska has filed patent applications for its proprietary methods to produce lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate. New Millennium Iron Corp. [NML- TSX; NWLNF-OTCQX], (80%), reports progress continues with strategic partner and shareholder Tata Steel Ltd. (20%), operator, at the Direct Shipping Ore Project near Schefferville. Construction of the ore processing plant is advancing plus work on infrastructure with completion of the rail loop and links to main rail lines. NioGold Mining Corp. [NOX-TSXV; NOXGF-OTCQX] has eight projects in the Cadillac-Malartic-Val-d'Or region of the prolific Abitibi gold mining district. The company has been conducting a 1,400- metre drilling program on the H Zone of the 100%-owned property formerly known as the Malartic H property; now consolidated as part of NioGold's Malartic Block prop- erty which hosts measured and indicated resources of 32,127,000 tonnes grading 1.48 g/t gold totaling 1,531,000 oz gold, plus an inferred resource of 16,478,000 tonnes grad- ing 1.13 g/t gold totaling 599,000 oz gold. Recent drill results include 24.79 g/t gold over 1.2 metres. Northern Superior Resources Inc. [SUP-TSXV] is exploring its 100%-owned Lac Surprise gold property, west-central Québec, which is being funded by Bold Ventures Inc. [BOL-TSXV], as part of its option earn-in work commitment. Work includes prospecting, sampling and mapping. Targets will be prioritized for diamond drilling later this year. Orbite Aluminae Inc. [ORT-TSX; EORBF-OTCQX] is building a high-purity- alumina production facility in Cap-Chat, Québec. Orbite's flagship property in the Gaspé region of eastern Québec is located 32 km northeast of Murdochville. An indepen- dent NI 43-101 compliant report confirmed the presence of a highly homogeneous aluminous clay deposit averaging 23.13% alumina. Orbite has a number of patents covering alumina extraction technology. QMX Gold Corp. [QMX-TSXV; QMXGF-OTCQX] is completing the mining out of the Lac Herbin gold mine located 10 km northeast of Val d'Or. The company's Aurbel mill will be available to other min- ers when Lac Herbin ore is depleted. QMX is seeking other gold projects. RB Energy Inc. [RBI-TSX] reports it has achieved steady production at its Québec lithium project 38 km southeast of Amos and is increasing sales of battery- grade lithium carbonate. Since August 3, 62 tonnes of battery-grade (greater than 99.7% Li 2 CO 3 ) material have been shipped to the company's off-take partner in China. Production levels currently average between 40 and 50 tonnes of battery-grade material per week, and are expected to increase week on week going forward. Richmont Mines Inc. [RIC-TSX; NYSE MKT] has three gold-producing proper- ties in Québec; the Monique Mine, the Beaufor Mine and the W Zone (adjacent to Beaufor), all near Val d'Or. Richmont's Camflo mill processed 115,095 tonnes in Q2 2014, and 206,043 tonnes in the first six months of the year, up 95% and 114%, respectively, over the prior year's levels, reflecting the addition of W Zone and Monique Mine ore.
