According to Flinders, Woxna is unique due to its high quality, large flake graphite, long life expandable resource and first class infrastructure. With the potential to upgrade capacity of 13,000 tpy, Flinders is well positioned at a time when China can't meet global demand. As the mine ramps up to feed a variety of graphite specifications, Flinders is giving Europeans an alternative to buying from China. Flinders is in talks to acquire and restart a dormant facility in Mexico, where it hopes to supply the Tesla gigafactory. Lomiko Metals Inc. [LMR-TSXV; LMRMF-OTCQX] is a junior explorer with mineral assets that include the La Loutre, Lac des Iles and Quatre Milles graphite properties in Québec. Its wholly- owned affiliate, Lomiko Technologies, is an investor in graphene technology and a manufacturer of electronic products. The company's major source of revenue is R&D materials and the sale of samples to the research arms of Fortune 500 companies, including graphene in powder form. Due to the proximity of La Loutre to Imerys Graphite & Carbon's graphite mine near Lac des Iles, Lomiko is hoping the Swiss company might soon see La Loutre as a potential target now that it is running out of open-pittable graphite. "We are hoping that we will be the one they buy,'' said Lomiko CEO, Paul Gill. Mason Graphite Inc. [LLG-TSXV; MGPHF-OTCQX] is a graphite mining and processing company developing the Lac Gueret Project in northern Québec, where the graphite grade is believed by man- agement to be among the highest in the world. Northern Graphite Corp. [NGC-TSXV; NGPHF-OTCQX] says its flagship Bissett Creek property is the leading undeveloped graphite project outside of China with an 80 million tonne resource. A bankable feasibility study for Bissett Creek, 100 km northeast of North Bay, Ontario, has been completed. "Bissett Creek is a unique deposit in that 90% of the contained graphite will be categorized as large flake, which is the highest ratio in the industry,'' the company said. Northern has also received its major environmental permit. With capital costs estimated at $134 million, Northern is hop- ing to start up at 20,000 tpy from open pit production. n Lucara sells 813-carat diamond for US $63 million The highest price ever paid for a rough diamond LUcara DiamonD corp.
