[LI-TSXV; LIACF-OTCQB; 5LA-FSE] is conducting Phase 2 sonic drilling on three lithium brine targets at its Fish Lake Valley South Playa and nearby Clayton-Valley-1 Projects in Esmeralda County, southwest- ern Nevada. The road-accessible Clayton Valley prospect, which has power avail- able, is 70% optioned. American Lithium has a 100% interest in the North Playa property at Fish Lake Valley and an 80% interest in the South Playa ground. The prospects are located about 38 km from Albemarle's Silver Peak lithium mine. The objective of the drilling program is to collect information on the aquifer charac- teristics and lithium values in aquifer brines in support of the company's lithium explo- ration efforts. Using a sonic drill that is able to take continuous samples of drill core as well as sample subsurface aquifers, the 13 holes will target lithium-bearing brines in the Upper Fish Lake formation rocks that host the lithium resources at the Silver Peak Mine. The sonic drill works effectively to a depth of 150 metres (~500 feet). Following geophysical surveys, a grid sampling program has been carried out at the Fish Lake North Playa project area where one-metre deep samples are being collected over a 300-metre grid area at the North Playa. An extensive drill program recently started at North Playa where near- surface brine sampling averaged 122.5 mg/L lithium. In an interview, Karl Kottmeier, President and CEO, told Resource World, "In terms of Clayton Valley, this is a lith- ium-producing district and our prospect is in close proximity to Albemarle's Silver Peak Mine, so we have an excellent loca- tion. With regards to our Fish Lake Valley property, we are excited because we have the entire district which has a similar geological environment to Clayton Valley. There is lithium there; it's a matter of prov- ing up an economic resource." Geologist Dr. John Oldow, Director of the Ellison Miles Center for Geological Field Studies at the University of Texas, Dallas, is Technical Consultant for American Lithium and has extensive knowledge of the area of the company's mineral land holdings. "From a standing start in January, American Lithium is pleased to be drill testing three world-class potential lithium brine targets so quickly," said Michael Kobler, Executive Chairman. "The planned drilling on the South Bowl Playa lithium brine project is the first program to explore the company's expanded target package in the Fish Lake Valley where the company controls over 18,550 contiguous acres." The results from the current exploration program will be used to update the Fish Lake Valley Basin Aquifer Model and for resource modeling of the three projects. n Left to right, Bill Waters, mining engineer, mike Kobler, executive Chairman, of american Lithium, and Dana Brock, Vp and project geologist, with a tracked drill at the South playa property at the Fish Lake Valley, Nevada. photo courtesy american Lithium Corp. miNiNg i Power of Blue Sky Discoveries + Green Technology
