Mega Uranium and Cameco Australia Pty entered into a formal binding farm in and joint venture agreement for Kintyre Rocks uranium proj- ect in Western Australia. Cameco can earn an initial 51% interest by funding AUD $2 million of exploration within 24 months from the date of the definitive agreement. Cameco will be the operator during the stage 1 farm-in period and the manager of the joint venture after the joint venture formation date. NexGen Energy Ltd. [NXE-TSXV] holds a dominant land position in the Athabasca Basin. NexGen's flagship prop- erty is the Radio uranium project adjacent to the world-class Roughrider deposit. NexGen has the option to acquire 70% interest in the project with an option to increase to 100% ownership, subject to a 2% NSR. The company has completed its first drill program on the property. NexGen announced on February 24, 2014 the discovery of further new zones of uranium mineralization within the first hole at their Arrow prospect, Rook 1 Project where further drilling continued to intersect numerous zones of mineralization. Mega Uranium and its joint venture partner Forum Uranium are jointly earning a 60% interest NexGen's NW Athabasca Project. Noka Resources Inc. [NX-TSXV; NOKAF-OTC Pink] is a member of the Western Athabasca Syndicate exploring the in the Athabasca Basin. Noka holds one of the largest geologically prospective land packages in the region through a 100% interest in the Clearwater (which includes the Carpenter Lake) and Athabasca North group of properties. Nuinsco Resources Ltd.'s [NWI-TSX] 100%-owned Diabase Peninsula uranium project, on the south edge of the Athabasca Basin, has been the subject of a 42-hole, 17,356-metre drill program; 33% have returned samples with uranium content exceeding 50ppm and 67% have returned values greater than 10ppm uranium. Paladin Energy Ltd. [PDN-TSX; ASX-200] is a uranium producer with exploration projects in Australia and two mines in Africa. The producing Langer Heinrich Mine, in Namibia, is Paladin's flagship project. In February 2014, Paladin announced that its subsidiary company, Paladin (Africa) Limited (PAL), suspended production at its Kayelekera Mine in Malawi until the price of uranium recov- ers. Paladin also has the Michelin uranium project in Labrador, Canada where a win- ter drilling program was completed in March 2014. Powertech Uranium Corp. [PWE-TSX] has two near production uranium projects. Powertech announced, in April 2014, that it had been issued a license to operate the Dewey Burdock Project in South Dakota and is obtaining final permits; construc- tion is tentatively set to begin in 2015.
