On June 18, 2014, Metals Creek reported that Xmet had acquired a 50% interest in 29 claim units in four claims on the western boundary of the Blackflake West graphite property. Metals Creek received its drilling and ground geophysics exploration permit for the Blackflake West Project. Nouveau Monde Mining Enterprises Inc.'s [NOU-TSXV] exploration program, on its Matawinie graphite property, in southern Québec, will consist of a 3,000 metre drilling campaign with the objec- tive of defining a NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate over the Ti-Nou high- grade graphite mineralized zone. Nouveau Monde also plans to follow up on a total of over 30 linear km of prospective graph- ite targets in the Matawinie area based on recently acquired regional heliborne mag- netic and electromagnetic data. On July 9, 2014, Nouveau Monde announced the acquisition of the Waasikusuu diamond exploration project located in the south- eastern James Bay area of Québec, between the villages of Waskaganish and Matagami. Northern Graphite Corp. [NGC-TSXV; NGPHF-OTC] owns a 100% interest in the Bissett Creek deposit, eastern Ontario. Northern Graphite states it is the only pub- lic company with a true, large flake deposit and is the only one with a bankable Final Feasibility Study and its major environ- mental permit. On June 24, 2014, Northern Graphite announced that it updated its Preliminary Economic Assessment to assess the economics of building a process plant with twice the capacity of the plant contem- plated in the company's Feasibility Study. Ontario Graphite Ltd. [private] is focused on the re-commissioning and operation of the Kearney Mine, one of the largest confirmed graphite mineral resource projects in North America and among the largest individual deposits in the world. The Kearney Mine, in Kearney, Ontario, is slated to begin production in 2014. In September, 2013 Ontario Graphite reported that an NI 43-101 compliant Mineral Resource Estimate, conducted in August 2013, shows higher indicated and inferred mineral resources at the mine, nearly doubling the previously estimated indicated resources.
